My client is reporting an issue that is happening when trying to add a woocommerce product grid to a page. The 503 Service Unavailable error is only occurring when they choose either of 2 specific categories. All other categories don’t cause this error.

I was able to reproduce this error.

We have tried disabling all plugins, this did not help.

    Hi,

Thanks for the login details. The error you are referring to is a server error or response, please try reaching out to your hosting provider for further help, or share server error logs with us.

    Best regards,

Why would this only occur with those specific 2 categories? It works if I choose any other category.

I have had our host increase the resources available to the site, and this seems to have fixed the issue. I would still love to know why those 2 categories are exhausting the server resources.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

How many items are included in these categories? It’s possible that they contain more items compare to other categories consuming more memory during database queries and causing server overloads. You might want to contact your hosting provider for more info about this issue.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

The first one has 14 and the other has 5.

It’s odd because one of the other categories that worked fine has 24.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I’m not sure why the error would only happen on some categories, but your hosting provider should be able to answer these questions as they have access to the server error logs.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
