    Hey Enfold
I’v doing some design updates, and suddenly I can’t update the front page.
I do as I’m use to, make the changes/updates click save and click update.
When i click update I get this message
“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
    Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.”

Please help me to find a way around this

    Tanks ;)

    Hey Alan,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

You may need to temporarily set your installation to debug mode and enable the error logs so that we can trace the error properly. Please check the documentation below for more info about debugging.

    // https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/#example-wp-config-php-for-debugging

To enable the error log, please check this section.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

what happens if you are copying the enfold shortcode – and create a new page – and save?
What if you use this copied page to set as homepage?

Good morning, forgot to inform you.
I made a copy of the frontpage to replace the original, and the copy has no errors ???

    Please close this one, thanks.

    Thanks for info.
It sometimes happens that errors creep in when saving to the database. These can be very persistent. Therefore, it often helps to simply create a new page with the same content. For the home page, it doesn’t matter what the original page is called – the addendum will be removed from the permalink anyway. For other pages, you will need to delete the broken page completely in order to give the new page the same permalink.

    Hi Alan,

Great, I’m glad that you got things working.

Thanks @guenni007 for helping out :-)

We’ll close this thread for now then, please open a new thread if you should have any further questions or problems.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
