    Dear Kriesis,
    Since today a big problem with the LayerSlider has appeared. We are running different websites with Enfold and LayerSlider plugin and it blocks the creation of new posts and pages in the backend at all these installations. The LayerSlider metabox shows this error message:

    After disabling the plugin everything works normal but this is not the solution. Existing posts are editable and for a quick solution we are creating new posts with DuplicatePost.

    What to do? Waiting for a theme or plugin update?

    Hi Anne,

    LayerSlider is bundled with the theme, it’s not a separate plugin. If you are running a separate plugin version of LayerSlider, then please deactivate the bundled version under Enfold->Layout Builder->Integrated (Bundled) LayerSlider Plugin.

    Hi Rikard,
    Yes, we are using the separate plugin version of Layerslider.
    I tryed these options:
    1. “Original LayerSlider Plugin is used” and “Individually set all otions in Layerslider options” > add new post is blocked
    2. “Original LayerSlider Plugin is used” and “Use Enfolds default settings (recommended)” > add new post is blocked
    3. “Remove theme plugin files and slides “and “Individually set all otions in Layerslider options” > add new post is blocked
    Shall I remove the bundled plugin files in the enfold folder via ftp? Were do I find them?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    In the Enfold > Layout Builder panel, you have to set the Integrated (Bundled) LayerSlider Plugin to the second option (Deactivate but leave plugin files in folder) or completely remove the default layer slider folder using the third option.

    Hello Ismael,
    thank you for the info. The three options in the panel are a bit confusing and I thought “Original slider plugin is used” meant the separate plugin.
    The problem appeared due to a major LayerSlider plugin update on October 12th and was solved after the following update yesterday.
