    Hello,
Recently I wanted to edit my Site but ended up on a blank white page. As i checked the hosting service it told me that it found 16 files which are infested with malware. Can you help me out?

    Hey itkaufmann,
I see that you are using a old version 4.7.6.3
If you have malware try deleting the theme files at /wp-content/themes/enfold/ and download the latter version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to the same directory.
If the malware is in the core WordPress files this won’t help, try seeing if your webhost has a backup from the last time you know it was working correctly and roll back to that, perhaps six months ago?
Otherwise you may need professional help in removing the malware.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hello again,
I tried updating the Theme but it tells me that it’s already the latest version (4.7.6.3) even though on Themeforest the latest Version should be 5.6.

    Kind regards,
    Michael

    Hi,
I updated the theme but I still can’t edit any content on the pages. When I try to do so i get redirected to a blank page and it shoots an internal error with the following content:

I don’t know what to do, can you take a look at this?

    Hi,
Thanks for the login, the error I see is a admin-ajax.php 500 (Internal Server Error) so for smome reason your server is having trouble, perhaps it is because your PHP max input variables is set very low at 1000, try changing it to 10000, and your PHP time limit is set to zero, try uping to to 600. Also your Max input time is 60, try 120.
    Enfold_Support_3650.jpeg
I disabled your plugin Disable Gutenberg as it is not needed, I enabled this feature in the theme at Enfold Theme Options ▸ Select Your Editor ▸ Use WP Classic Editor
If making these changes doesn’t help, try choosing a different PHP version like v8, or v7.4, perhaps the PHP version is not set up correctly of your server, just a guess or try checking your error log for further details.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi
I tried everything you suggested but the problem persists. Somehow in the server info tab which you posted in the screenshot it still says that the max_execution_time is zero but the phpinfo file says it’s set to 120. Do you have any idea why?

    #1422222

    Hi,
It sounds like the PHP setting needs to be changed somewhere else, each server can be a little different so you should ask your webhost to help.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Ok so all of this doesn’t fix the problem at all, I still can’t edit anything on the site because the editor interface is just a blank white window. Can you please check what’s going on? I didn’t pay for premium support just to have no solution after 3 weeks of trial and error.

    Best regards

    Hi,
I see that your max_execution_time is still zero, did you ask your webhost why you are getting a 500 server error? Unfortunately we can’t solve server errors, but perhaps asking your webhost for assistance will help.
Earlier you wrote that your hosting service it told you that it found 16 files which are infested with malware, did you try using your server backup to roll back a a version before the malware? If your site still has malware, I would recommend hiring a malware removal service, we don’t have any experience with malware removal.

    Best regards,
    Mike
