    Hi all,

    Been a while… I am having an issue with my sidebar on this page where html is showing at the bottom:

    Marin Real Estate Blog | Marin County Real Estate News | Marin County Lifestyle

    The html showing is:
    “<span class=”seperator extralight-border”></span></section>”

    I’ve tried modifying the surrounding widgets but that does not fix this error.
    Can you tell from the front end what may be going on?
    I am thinking of getting rid of the sidebar for aesthetics, but until I do that I would like to get this fixed.

    Hi Rob,

    Does the greater than and less than symbol changed on the backend? that maybe the cause why it’s rendering as text instead of an html tag.
    If that does not help, then we would need to check the backend in order to see the issue further.

    Hi Nikko, it is not visible on the backend at all… I am using the classic widgets editor.

    Hey Rob,

    Please create temporary admin logins and share them with us privately so we can look into this issue. As Nikko mentioned, something seems to break the HTML.

    Hi,

    The IDX: Agent Bio widget is the culprit that’s breaking the HTML.

    As a workaround, I copied the HTML of the IDX: Agent Bio widget, inserted a Custom HTML widget instead of it, and pasted the HTML into the Custom HTML widget.

    Please review your website.

    Hi Yigit, thank you for fixing our widget! ;)

    Joking aside, I will let the plug author know there’s an issue and will send them a link to this thread. Is there any further info they should have as they investigate this?

    Thanks for fixing and yes this workaround works great! The same Agent Bio widget is also on “Sidebar Pages” widget. Can you please do the same thing there? I’m worried if I try it won’t go well… :)

    Hey Rob,

    You are welcome!

    I updated the widget in the Sidebar Pages widget area as well.

    I’m not 100% sure but I think the following line in the /optima-express/widget/iHomefinderAgentBioWidget.php file might be causing the issue

    
echo esc_js($afterWidget);

    If you have a staging site where you can replicate the issue and provide them with login credentials, I think that should be enough :)
