I am using an Enfold child theme, and am almost done with a website. The problem is that updating specific items does not show and or disables them completely.

    For example:
    1. Color sections: Once a page has been saved, editing or adding a color section (with image) will result in a blank color section, while the image still shows in Avia builder. Adding a color section to a new page is no problem, until the page is saved, after that it is bugged again.
    2. Progress bar: Same story, it works in the editor but as soon as something in the progress bar is edited there is no bar anymore in the live view of the page.
    3. Separator: These do not seem to do anything as whitespace, adjustiong the pixel numbers doesn’t do anything.
    4. Icon list: Changing color of icons doesnt seem to work on a saved page.

Please advise, Thanks in advance for your assistance

    Hey Splitminute,

Thanks for the login details, it looks like you forgot to include a user though?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. I’m not sure what is wrong with your installation unfortunately, but I’ve asked the rest of the team to have a look as well. Please reply to this thread once you have read this message, so that it gets added back to our support queue.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi Rikard, thank you. I understand it was weekend.
Meanwhile, I had to quickly edit the basic Enfold install so my clients could see it correctly after the Child was deactivated.
I have not activated the Child anymore.
Problem persists on the Enfold parent install btw. See the ‘Buggedtestpage’ I created.

Please do not mess the site up, since I am working to finalise with my clients about the site and am about to install WPML language plugin this week. My clients where not happy to see the result this morning without the Child installed.

Maybe the following info narrows it down too:
When I tried to update the General Styling colors some general colors did not update.
However they did once I enabled ‘CSS File Merging And Compression’ and ‘Javascript file merging and compression’ in the Performance section of Enfold Theme Options.

    Hope this helps,
    best regards, Splitminute

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Could you share FTP login details in private as well, so that we can try to upload a fresh version of the theme for you please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi, yes I have added the FTP details in PC.
Let me know if you need anything else.
    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for that. Uploading fresh theme files made no difference unfortunately, could you try using a different PHP version please? Maybe 8.0?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

I don’t see how I can go back to an earlier PHP version at my Webhost, it doesn’t have that option for WordPress hosted sites.
Right now everything is working ok(ish), these bugs are too small to lose more time.
Do you expect I will run into trouble with the WPML install ? Or is that not related to the Avia builder or stylesheet at all?
Also, do you advise to temporary disable the CSS and Javascript file merging when installing the WPML plugin?

I have a different older site at the same host running on PHP 8.029 with Enfold version 4.8.8.1 without a problem.
So somewhere beween the versions of PHP, WordPress and Enfold the problem popped up. Needle in a haysteck…

    regards, Splitminute

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. The problem you are having is not a general theme problem, we can’t reproduce it on any of our test installations, and we have no other users having the same problem. With that in mind, the problem is likely local to your site or server. I’m not sure what it is unfortunately, but testing a different PHP version would be something to check at least. Do you have server error logs that you could share with us?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
