    Hi Enfold Team,

When I updated to the latest Enfold, I noticed GTM code above my header. I cannot seem to get rid of it even after downgrading the template. Any idea why that is happening? I am aware that GA4 is upon us tomorrow. I cannot seem to get this client to get me access to update the code. I did remove the universal GA code from the template.

    Thanks,
    Monique

    Hey Monique,
I believe this error is in the Enfold Theme Options ▸ Google Services ▸ Google Analytics Tracking Code The code seems to have an error in it so remove all of it and then check again.
Or it’s added by a function in their child theme functions.php, try removing it.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

I already removed the tracking code and I also deleted the Google site kit. Removing the site kit plugin actually makes the header show more code. There is no custom code in the child theme CSS or functions.php files. Very strange.

    Mike,

I found the problem. It was the Autoptimize plugin. I deleted it. Thanks!
