    Hi,
If I want to edit the front page in the backend, I get a critical error. I’ll give you access so you can look at the problem.

    Hey Blatze,

Thanks for the login details. Does it make any difference if you deactivate all plugins? You could also try a different PHP version, for example 8.0 or 8.1, and check what happens then.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi Rikard, thanks for your reply.
If I disabled all plugins, the error goes away. But if only one of the plugins is reactivated, the error reappears. It doesn’t matter which plugin I activate. I also already changed the PHP version from 8.0 to 8.1 and that didn’t help.

    Best regards

    Hi Blatze,

Can you give us FTP access as well? so we can check on the issue further.
Just post the credentials in private content.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Blatze,

Thanks for giving us FTP access.
I was able to copy the content of the homepage and tried to paste the content on two test pages (link in private content) and it seems to be working without any issue on those pages.
I think for some reason the homepage is bugged but I could not see the cause since there’s no js errors on it, no error_logs as well on the root folder.
I think the workaround is to totally delete the homepage (I have saved a template called Home, so you can re-add the content) and then change the permalink/slug of the test page.
    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Nikko,

    Thanks for your help.
I deleted the broken front page and replaced it with a copy. Everything was fine at first, but after a short time the problem reappeared. If I set a different front page in the Enfold and WordPress settings and then deactivate any plugin, I can edit the page again. But that’s not a pleasant workflow.

    Best regards

    Hi Blatze,

I understand and it seems to be a weird issue that persists.
Can you try to create a staging site? then maybe observe if that behavior also persists in there.
So we can atleast know if it’s an isolated issue or if it’s related to settings.
You can check this tutorial on how to create a staging site: https://wpengine.com/resources/what-is-a-staging-site-why-have-one/#How_to_Create_a_Staging_Site_for_WordPress

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Nikko,

Until now the problem with the staging site has not appeared. It is planned to transfer the staging page with the new design to the live page. If the error occurs again after that, I’ll report back. The thread can be closed.

    Thank you
