Hi there,
How to exclude certain posts from a blog page? Category should do the work and I have found a plugin that does the trick but I am sure this is possible without plugin too, I don’t want to overload my website.
Thanks a lot
SimoneJune 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm #1411167Hey Simone,
You can go to Enfold theme options > Blog Layout > Blog Layout and select the Use the advanced layout editor to build your own blog layout option (https://i.imgur.com/J61TGUh.png). After that, you can edit your Blog page with Advanced Layout Builder, add a Blog Posts element to your page, and exclude the category you wouldn’t like to display on your blog page (https://i.imgur.com/ssABwkz.png).
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
YigitJune 20, 2023 at 4:46 pm #1411188Thank you Yigit,
I have many categories and they go down below outside the box, it seems I cannot both select categories and click on the scroll on the right side to go down and select/unselect more categories.
Any idea how to do that?
Thank you
SimonJune 23, 2023 at 6:04 am #1411454Hi there, actually the blog page is displaying also my podcasts despite having unflagged the category “podcast” – any idea?
Thanks a lot
SimoneJune 23, 2023 at 6:21 am #1411456Hi,
Have you selected the correct layout in the Enfold > Blog Layout > Blog Layout settings? Please ensure that it is set to “Use the advanced layout builder…”. Also, verify that the blog is enabled in the Enfold > Theme Options > Where do you want to display the blog? settings. Additionally, you may need to reset the options in the Settings > Ready panel to their default values.
Let us know if this helps.
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 27, 2023 at 3:19 pm #1411845I changed it and now the category I wanted to remove somehow disappeared (good, even if Idk how) but some other categories I want to include are not being displayed. Any further idea?

July 16, 2023 at 9:12 pm #1413426Hi,
Thank you for the link to your site, I see that you are using the masonry element and are using “Sorting” and pagination with the post limited to 11.
So what happens is the masonry element gets the first 11 posts ordered by date, and then the categories for those 11 posts are shown in the “sorting”, so as you “load more” posts more categories are shown to sort with.
Since you have 236 posts and 12 active categories you could change the pagination post limit to a higher number that shows all of your posts, perhaps something like 22.
If your post in all of the categories are not well mixed, you may choose to cacge the post date on some of the very old categories so they will be available for your sorting with a lower post limit.Best regards,
Mike -
