I have a masonry gallery set up to show 100 photos – but, it is only showing 50.

I have the settings et as 100 photos – also a large gap but it’s showing no gap.

    Help!

    Thanks!

    Hey Julie,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Displaying a large number of photos, such as 50 or 100, on the same page is not generally recommended. This approach can significantly impact the loading speed of the page, making it slower and heavier for users to access. To optimize the performance and user experience, it is advisable to implement pagination or a “load more” option.

By implementing pagination, you can divide the photos into smaller sets or pages, allowing users to navigate through them easily. This approach helps distribute the loading time and reduces the amount of content loaded at once, resulting in faster page rendering.

Alternatively, you can enable the “load more” functionality, where a certain number of photos are initially loaded, and additional photos are loaded dynamically as the user requests more content. This approach enables users to load additional photos gradually, avoiding excessive loading times upfront.

Both pagination and the “load more” option enhance the overall performance and usability of your page by optimizing the content delivery. They provide a smoother browsing experience and prevent the page from becoming overly burdened with a large number of photos.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

I tried that also and it did not show the pagination, nor the other photos.

    Thank you so much.
    I did that –
I changed the amount per page – 25. That worked, but I tried to add photos more photos after the 50 I already had there .but it would not allow me.

I selected more and I saw this error: Showing 103 of 50 media items

    please help.

Thank you! I put the login info in private content.

    I appreciate your prompt help.

    to recap:

can not add more than 50 pictures to the gallery.
can not show a large spacing or 1 px spacing between images on that gallery.

    again thank you

    Hi,

Thank you for the login info.

We have successfully added two additional items to the gallery, resulting in a total of 52 items being displayed. The “Load more” button is functioning as intended, allowing users to load additional items beyond the initial set.

Please ignore the item counter and remember to update the page after adding new items to the gallery to ensure that the changes are properly reflected.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Thank you – but why can it not show a large gap? I would really prefer that.

    Hi,
Thanks for your patience I see that you are using v5.4, I believe this may have been an issue that was fixed later, try updating to v5.6.2.
In order to update you will need to enter a valid Envato private token in the theme update options or manually update following these instructions:
First you will need to download the latest installable WP version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
    WordPress_Appearance_Themes_Add-Themes_Add-New.jpg
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
    Installing_theme_from_uploaded_file_This_theme_is_already_installed.jpg
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.
