I just purchased a new license (a renewal) for my website. The email address that is associated with my account is no longer valid. I recently changed my email address. I am trying to ask a support question in the form but it says that my license code is not valid. I’m so desperately stuck. My site is broken due to the theme not working properly and I need help! I pray you can help me. This is the new code I just generated on your site: VWv3xRwJw2xvmrN49TuxKo3ZSF4q9r4w
My old email address was (Email address hidden if logged out) . But I can not access any messages that go to it.May 6, 2023 at 7:27 pm #1406590Hey Paula Apro,
Thank you for your patience, unfortunately, I couldn’t find your old or new email address registered in the support forum, please try to register your Purchase Code here
I see your site is using Enfold v4.7.5 with WordPress v6.11 and PHP v8, this version of the theme doesn’t support these so you will need to update.
To update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest installable WP version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.

MikeMay 8, 2023 at 2:58 pm #1406750I tried to do exactly as you suggested and I got an error message that says:

Unpacking the package…Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Please advise where to go from here. My site has not been working for months and my business is severely suffering :-(
May 8, 2023 at 3:14 pm #1406752I’m so sorry. I must have tried to upload the wrong zip file. I just re-tried and it worked!!! Yah :-) Thank you for your help. I’ll see if this resolves all the other problems.
May 8, 2023 at 3:17 pm #1406753This is now the only error message that I’m still getting:

Thanks for the update. Where exactly are you seeing those warnings?
Best regards,
RikardMay 8, 2023 at 10:37 pm #1406799At the top of the page on the “Themes” selection. https://mariposaenergy.co/wp-admin/themes.php
May 9, 2023 at 9:39 am #1406856Hi,
Thanks for the clarification. Does it make any difference if you temporarily deactivate all plugins? You could also to try to update to Enfold 5.6.1. If neither of those things work, then please share FTP login details with us.

RikardMay 9, 2023 at 2:13 pm #1406889I just downloaded the latest version from themeforest yesterday. I assumed that was the latest version. If it was not, how do I get the latest one?

May 11, 2023 at 11:21 am #1407098Hi,
Thanks for that. You have posted WordPress login details earlier, but we would need FTP login details. Please share those with us in private as well.

RikardMay 11, 2023 at 5:15 pm #1407130Is this the info that you want?
FTP Username: SEC (Email address hidden if logged out)
FTP server: http://ftp.mariposaenergy.co
FTP & explicit FTPS port: 21May 13, 2023 at 11:46 pm #1407321Hi,
Thank you for your patience, the error you are seeing is because you updated an older version of the theme which included a Themeforest API Key this API key is no longer used, so please remove this info and save your theme settings and the error should be resolved.
You will then need to go to your Theme Forest account and create a Envato private token for future updates.Best regards,
MikeMay 15, 2023 at 2:24 pm #1407443This is so confusing. I have generated a new token but when I paste in the code I get the long error message that is listed on your site. only I can’t figure out how to get past it. I didn’t understand your first instructions above. How do I “remove the Themeforest API Key? Maybe I needed to do that prior to inserting the new token?!? Ugh so frustrating that I don’t understand these steps.
May 15, 2023 at 7:01 pm #1407468Hi,
Sorry that this is confusing, I see that you have entered a code into your Envato private token field, but it is not correct as it was not able to connected to Envato:
You will then need to go to your Theme Forest account to create a Envato private token, please read these instructions.
If you still have trouble try installing the official Envato Market Plugin to manage the updates instead.Best regards,
MikeMay 19, 2023 at 9:25 pm #1407983I’m sorry for the delay. Something TERRIBLE happened. I was mucking around with your directions trying to get it to work and I accidentally reverted back to the factory settings of the theme. I lost all of my customization and years of work. I have been trying to restore with my web hosting company all week. Two times they restored from a backup from several days before I made this mistake and both times the site is still showing the uncustomized theme. I am crushed, heartbroken, and terrified that I’ll never see my old site again. Can you please tell me if it will be possible to somehow magically go back and time and fix this horrible mistake? I’m desperate for the answer to this question but terrified of the answer. I was trying to fix a small problem and ended up with a gigantic problem. :-(
May 19, 2023 at 9:55 pm #1407987Hi,
Sorry to hear this happened to you, unfortunately there is not a way to revert this from within the theme, restoring to an older version in your webhost should also include your customizations. I logged into your site and the customizations seem to be there, such at your logo, but your homepage was not set so I set it and your site looks good now, please clear your browser cache and check.Best regards,
MikeMay 20, 2023 at 2:13 am #1408000I have already done some work adding my logo back and such, but there is a lot more to do. I was just holding out to hear if you thought I should be able to recover all the customization. I don’t understand why the backups are not restoring everything, but at this point I guess I better just get to work and start fixing everything. What a nightmare. And I still haven’t done the fix you suggested earlier this week. By now I forgot all about that issue. sigh.
Thanks for your help. I’ll try to get back to my original problem one of these day.
