Hi,
I just bought Enfold and pasted the token into the support section to make support accessible but it said it’s not a valid purchase key…
This is my token:
(see private field)I urgently need help with a website that is not working with fatal errors to do with the Enfold Child theme and php, can someone please login to the site and make sense of what is going on?
Thanks,
LisaMay 2, 2023 at 11:23 am #1406168Hey Lisa,
Your purchase code doesn’t seem valid, please check this image: https://kriesi.at/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/registration_steps.jpg
Please note that you are responsible for the content in your child theme. The error message on your site seems to be coming from a plugin:
Fatal error: Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.2.5”. You are running 5.6.40. in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/vendor/composer/platform_check.php
If you are running PHP 5.6, then it might be a good idea to update it to 8.x.
Best regards,

The image you shared has a dropdown menu, mine doesn’t.
How can I create a valid purchase code?
Can you delete my previous comment with my token in it? (Or should I create a new token now for security reasons?I just deleted the plugin and it solved the problem!
I noticed that using a child theme is not necessary anymore (since you can add css in the General Styling of Theme Options.
Should I get rid of the Child theme and just use Enfold, I only have a little bit of code in the child theme (theme file editor). If I past the child theme css into the General Styling CSS box will I be able to delete the child theme and activate the normal enfold theme without breaking the site?
I’m not sure if using a child theme will create problems in the future, please let me know your opinion on this.
Thanks,

Should I get rid of the Child theme and just use Enfold,
It is strongly recommended to use a child theme, just in case you need to modify template files for posts or any areas of the site. Even if you don’t think you’ll be making any modifications to the parent theme, it’s still a good idea to keep the child theme activated. This won’t have any negative impact on your site, and will safeguard against any changes being lost during updates to the parent theme.

Thanks for your feedback on the child theme.
Any thoughts on my first question:
How to access the purchase code?
The image Rikard shared has a dropdown menu next to the theme in your downloads, mine doesn’t have a drop down menu….Thanks,

When the child theme is active it is using the core files of the parent theme, if your parent theme is v3.1 then you should update.
To update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest installable WP version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.
