    Hi,
When I attempt to download and import demo files, I get the consistent error:

    Error accessing file for download:
cURL error 28: Connection timeout after 10000 ms

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, I have already amended the functions.php file with the workaround and increased the timeout on my PHP.ini file, but none of this has worked.

    Thanks.

I have contacted my hosting provider (20i.com) and they have advised that the theme author’s site of kriesi.at is blocking the server IP address. Are you able to unblock or let me know how we can import the demo content please.

    Hi,
Thank you for your patience, 20i servers have been a source of brutforce-like attacks against our server and have been unblocked many times now but the attacks continue.
Another option would be to import the demo on a localhost and use the plugin duplicator and then install the clone on your 20i server.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Hi. I have the exact same issue as all my websites are hosted with 20i.

I have tried to manually install one of your demos but I see the same curl error 28.
Should the blocking stop me from manually installing the “Parallax” demo files or should I be able to do it that way?

I have over 45 Enfold licenses so far and you are my preferred WordPress theme so I really need to find a solution to this issue. Importing the demo on a localhost isn’t a good solution for me as it adds a lot of time to my web design process.

    Hi,
Sorry that this is affecting you, but as you can read above the 20i servers have been a source of brutforce-like attacks against our server and have been unblocked many times now but the attacks continue each time it is unblocked.
Unfortunately, since the server is blocked you will need to import the demo on a localhost and use the plugin duplicator and then install the clone on your 20i server.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike.

I need to resolve this situation between you (Enfold) and 20i as I can see several 20i clients have posted support requests over the last few months with the same problem of not being able to install demo files due to your servers blocking traffic from 20i.

I don’t know how this needs to be resolved but the blocking is clearly affecting some of your clients.
This will eventually lead to developers choosing a different service to build their websites or 20i clients deciding to move their websites elsewhere which isn’t good news or good publicity for either of you. We, (the consumer) are stuck in the middle and nobody seems interested in fixing the problem!

Can I possibly get you (or someone else at Enfold) in touch with somebody at 20i to resolve this issue?
If so, please private message me an email address or something similar and I will pass it on so they can escalate a solution at their end?

    Thank you.
