    Hi @Kriesi,

i have to add the DownloadManager Plugin to restrict PDF downloads.
Unfortunately the possibility to protect PDFs in the media overview is not visible using Enfold.
On my WordPress-Testpage – running not on Enfold, the possibility to protect PDF (also also pics) in the media overview is shown.

So so I guess the problem could be with Enfold.

    Thx for your help,
    Martin

    Hey mwolfert,
Thank you for the link to your site, I have not used the plugin before but I find that in the media library if you click a file and then click the green button you will see the options in your screenshot. Please try this, please see the screenshots in the Private Content area.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Good Morning Mike,

thanks for your feedback during Easter!

I found the issue .. not sure if it is a bug or not: Showing the media overview in a list, and clicking on the PDF, the “green button” from the DownloadManager will not be visible and …wp-content/themes/enfold/config-lottie-animations/assets/lottie-player/dotlottie-player.js.map gives back a 404 error.
Switching the media overview to grid, the 404 is gone and clicking on the PDF, the “green button” from the DownloadManager is shown.
Funny thing: the dotlottie-player.js.map does not exists in both cases.

    Best,
    Martin

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, when you are in the media library using the list mode and click on the pdf title you land on the “Edit Media” page and this page doesn’t include the div ID “wpdm-media-access” and I’m not sure if it is meant to as I tested this in the default WordPress theme and the ID or button doesn’t show there either.
Compared to when you are in the media library using the list mode and click on the pdf title you get a modal popup with the div ID.
I found no dotlottie-player.js.map 404 error, typically source maps are the original non-minified version of a minified script as in some cases a browser may search for these in the same way some browsers search for a favicon without any links to one.

    Best regards,
    Mike
