    When I change a page, then save and then refresh the page editor, I lose the edits. Another user found similar issues.
    I attach a video in the private area of the issue.
    I have tried clearing the Chrome cache and tried in Incognito. This had no effect. If I am clearing the cache incorrectly, let me know.
    I then tried in Firefox, and things did seem to work for a little bit, but then broke (after inserting the buttons Content) and then acted im the same way.
    In my video I deactivated known caches, but I do not see why a page refresh would lose the content anyway.
    I have reset the file permissions on the host and my hosting company thinks the permissions are correct.

    Hey inlinks,
    Thanks for your patience but your video link doesn’t work, please try uploading it elsewhere so we can see the issue you are having.
    I tried login into your site and making changes to your homepage and found no errors, I also changed it back without issue, so your video will help.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Oh, I apologize. Please try again.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the video, I tried to recreate this on my test site and was not able to, please see the video in the Private Content area.
    While I see this is occurring on your site I imagine it is due to a possible plugin conflict, try disabling all of your plugins and clearing your server cache. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
    I also recommend checking if this is occurring to “published” pages, where you make a change and then publish, view the frontend, then return to the backend via the admin link in the toolbar, not the browser back button, and check the backend.
    If this works correctly it could allow you to continue working without removing the conflict.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike.
    Ok… some headway… I redid the recording for out hosting company, recreating the problem after deleting the cache etc… so updated video link is in the private area.

    The hosting company then compared the video you the logs and found a fatal PHP error. Here is the code:

    https://p29.zdusercontent.com/attachment/14776431/SWjV5LxX4jWOjyNK11LgeFawB?token=eyJhbGciOiJkaXIiLCJlbmMiOiJBMTI4Q0JDLUhTMjU2In0..EhNZ9YynQq6YwKm6bPnecg.67TALKtRNlCgge2KNEsLRu3nGtrY-qyZKddvv2Hqea2bcQsL4yVq-e-U786vmLkO3fX1ONicwvbGogWP2aGgMdDQE9V8-KuaanjGk1oOgTE6RzklgpyUWzscYU1uVyPj9Lc6Xb-K3tX9QUpVon0zaMuVCYde4HsTrbk9ficfdhznIzwfELtz2I0_ZRjUrrZmHCelNexKZXdS4fwcEw7-5zBirKZvGUO5q4L3vHJUO1TCcoyZk38ICjK6XvtduztgjZzLUBspwWAOD7rT1IWrwFyYWKyi6Kri6K5_vKtCr-wGF_BwecrQtznOcSqKN1o_.hdnr309gQH1Yce96k8RZ0A

    I am not a coder, but it SEEMS it is being created from the Enfold theme?
    [EDITED]I also see something about “Email Preferences” shortcodes there, so deleted a gravity form of that name, just in case[/Edited]

    Hey Mike
    Just following up
    Updated to most recent version of Enfold theme (manually) and added a child theme
    Went through a lot of different ‘health checks’ and processes and still no luck.
    Any thoughts from the rest of the team?

    Cheers

    I’m having the same issue. ANY time I update any page using the ALB, it rewrites the dynamic_avia CSS file for that page & resets everything.

    It also then adds an “!important” statement on the div, so I can’t even overwrite it in the custom css file.

    So if I have the desktop layout where I want it, then use media queries for mobile, I can’t overwrite them without editing the mobile media query in the dynamic css. But any time I make a change in the WP admin in the page, it discards that file entirely.

    Example:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px)
    .responsive #top #wrap_all .av-flex-cells .no_margin {
    display: block;
    margin: 0;
    height: auto !important;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding-left: 8% !important;
    padding-right: 8% !important;
    }

    This doesnt work for what I need, so I need to edit the “dynamic css”, but any time I edit the page related to that generated CSS file, it resets.

    I even tried changing the write permissions after getting the styling that I wanted, but it seems every time I save the page, it deletes that page’s CSS file.

    Hi,

    @Jmcguiness03
    you seem to have a different issue than this thread, please create a new thread and include a recap, and WordPress admin access in the Private Content area. Since this is not your thread posting your login here will not be private and you will not see anything we write in the Private Content area.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hey Mike.. we *might* have solved this but want to post to keep you guys in the loop just in case it isn’t 100% resolved.

    It’s possible that the Classic Editor plugin (which was enabled, now disabled) messed with the Advanced Page Builder in some fashion and maybe caused an error that would not save the updated APB code.

    We *think* this was when a page is created using the CE that is then switched to APB, as opposed to a default blocks page that is then changed to APB

    Will let you know if this is indeed the issue and resolution, and whether this is a known issue or can be replicated.

    Cheers

    Hi,
    Thanks for the feedback, please note that the Classic Editor plugin is not needed because this is a theme option at Enfold Theme Options ▸ Select Your Editor ▸ Use WP Classic Editor

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1403443

    It was a legacy plugin

    And thanks for your help.. will let you know how the new few hours go :-)

    It took me a long time to figure out that it wasn’t “not saving”, but it was reverting the settings in the ALB css file.

    Any updates here?

    Again, any updates?
