    Dear support team,

    On the following website I have a color section with a background image:

    This works wonderfully on the desktop version as well as on the mobile version (see https://gabriele-redenz.de/support/bg-image_mobile.jpg)
    Only on the tablet – both in landscape and portrait mode – I don’t see the background image:

    Tablet hoch: https://gabriele-redenz.de/support/bg-image_tablet-hoch.jpeg

    Why is that?
    What do I have to change so that the background image also appears here?

    Hey Diana,
    Thank you for your patience, I don’t have an actual tablet but I tested on browserstack.com with a remote iPad 12 and on my Mac in Safari responsive design mode emulating an iPad and the background image showed, but I see that the background image is fixed, try changing to scroll and see if you get the same issue, I think I recall a Safari issue with fixed or parallax images a while back. What version of iPad are you using and what browser, have you tried other browsers?

    Hi Mike,

    Thank you for your recommendation and Yes, it works if I set the background image to “scroll”.
    I am using ipadOS version 16 and the browser is Mozilla Firefox.

    Hi,
    Glad to hear but unfortunately, this seems related to a specific version, in the past the Chrome and Firefox versions for iOS also had the same error as Safari but the Windows versions of Chrome and Firefox didn’t. I don’t believe there is a way to only target specific versions of browsers for a specific iOS version.
    In my test on browserstack.com with a remote iPad and on my Mac in responsive design mode emulating an iPad I’m not able to reproduce this.
    I recommend using the new setting and recheck after the next iOS update or the next Firefox update on iOS to see if the browser issue has been resolved.
