I have multiple Enfold sites. All have a registered license. All are working except for one.

The site in question the footer is not editable. It is not the footer I put up. I can see the widgets I put up with the information I entered if I go to Appearance widgets.

If I go to customize widgets there is nothing. No widgets. I cannot figure out how to replace the widgets I did not create (Interesting Links, Pages, Categories) with the ones I did.

    Please help.

    Hey ribit,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Have you tried editing the widgets in the Appearance > Widgets panel? Look for the widget areas named Footer Column/s.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Well, just my luck. I did not get an email notification of a reply.

The problem started in November 2022 to the best of my knowledge, prior to that the footer appeared correctly.

All the correct information is (and has been) in Appearance – > Widgets, it shows three footers (Footer Column 1, Footer-Column 2, Footer Column 3 with all the information I input 3 years ago). This information doesn’t show under “Customize” and it doesn’t show up on the website.

I have this issue on all my Enfold sites, but my workaround has been to go to Customize – > Widgets and change the information there.

Unfortunately, on this site there is literally nothing there when I go to Customize – > Widgets. It is as if it thinks I have no widgets. When I go to Enfold – > Footer, it shows that I have chosen to have a footer with 3 columns.

Now it shows the navigation in the very bottom footer and I don’t know how that happened. Shoot me now!

I don’t know where the interesting links, pages and categories came from, and the navigation at the bottom! What the what…

    Hi ribit,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi ribit,

I tried to check your site and it seems the problem may be caused by the child theme’s footer.php, when switch to a parent theme, the footer works properly.
Can you try to backup your child theme’s footer.php file and then remove it on the child theme and see if it resolves the issue.
If it does, then you’ll need to update your child theme’s footer.php by copying footer.php of the latest version of Enfold and then re-add the modification.
    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

Now the footer is completely gone. Whether I am I switch to Enfold or stay in the child theme. This is so not cool.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Could you share FTP login details with us as well please? Note that you might have to replace header.php as well.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
