    I have built multiple sites and it seems to be getting more difficult for the Favicon to remain. I did have it up as a .png and it has since been removed from Google and IE. Seems to be working on Firefox.

    I changed the image to a .ico and added it to the media and also added it to the public html folder. (not sure of the path here to use, however)

    Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I have to get the site over to the client.

    Please disregard. The site went over to HTTPS, however, the favicon was not set to HTTPS – which caused it to go disappear. Hopefully this is helpful to othes.
