    Hi

I would like the 5×4 image as viewed on desktop of my homepage to fill the entire vertical length of the mobile screen (9:16). Currently it only fills a 5×4 aspect ratio and leaves a black space.

    Matt-maynard.com

I have tried following the instructions in Menu to make the ccs class ¨only-desktop¨ (with the intention to make two separate home pages one for mobile and one for desktop) and added the relevant CSS in general styling.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 990px) {
    .only-desktop { display: none !important; }}

Why does the image still show on mobile? Is there an easier way to achieve what seems to be a pretty standard request? Have spent hour on this.

    Many thanks

    Hey mattyork2,

Which images are you referring to? Please post a screenshot highlighting your intentions, and a direct link to where we can see the images in question.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard

    Thanks for your help.

I am only referring to the one image on my desktop home page as linked above.

I’m afraid I can´t see how to add an attachment. How do I do that?
    Kind thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the clarification. You could duplicate the element currently on your site, then add an image better adapted to mobile screens in the new element. You can hide/show the correct element in the element options.

    Rikard

    Hi Rikard

Thanks for this. I know how to duplicate the element. Could you provide further instructions about how you can hide/show the correct element in the element options so I can have one image for mobile and a different one visible for desktop? Which element tab and option allows you to do that?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Please check under Advanced->Responsive in the element options.

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard

Sorry I can’t find Advanced->Responsive in the element option. Can you provide more detail?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Edit the Image element, then go to the Advanced > Responsive tab and toggle the Element Visibility settings. Please check the screenshot below.

    Hi,
Thanks for the screenshot, from it we found your domain and when we check we see that you are using v4.0.7
    Please update to v5.4
To update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest installable WP version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
    WordPress_Appearance_Themes_Add-Themes_Add-New.jpg
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
    Installing_theme_from_uploaded_file_This_theme_is_already_installed.jpg
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.

I also have a message on this forum that says: Please note: your support license has expired on January 2nd, 2018
You will be required to enter a valid purchase key soon (either a new one or update your current one with a support license on themeforest).

Is this required for the download?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Enfold is not free, so we can’t give you a download link. You can download the theme files in your Themeforest account though.

Please refer to this on how to extend your support period: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/207886473-Extending-and-Renewing-Item-Support

    Hi

I have purchased the updated version of Enfold.

When I try to upload the enfold.zip file following the instructions above nothing happens. What am I doing wring?

    Thanks

    #1395513

    Hi mattyork2,

    Please try the following steps:
    1. Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme, right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.
    2. It should generate a new folder, open it and look for the enfold folder
    3. Right-click the enfold folder then zip it, here’s a tutorial on how to create a zip file in windows: https://www.howtogeek.com/668409/how-to-zip-and-unzip-files-on-windows-10/ (this should create enfold.zip
    4. Log in to WordPress as and Admin.
    5. Install and activate a maintenance plugin and put your site in Maintenance mode.
    6. Go to Appearance > Themes, switch to a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty then delete Enfold.
    7. Click on the ADD NEW button.
    8. Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
    9. Click BROWSE and choose enfold.zip file
    10. Click the INSTALL NOW button and switch to Enfold or your child theme.
    11. Remove the maintenance mode then deactivate and remove the maintenance plugin.
    I hope it helps.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
