I have downloaded and started to play with the parallax demo theme for a client.
After having played around with it for a little while I realise that there are a few issues I am running into.
Normally I would do individual forum posts for each but feel it may be best to tackle them all here as it relates to the one theme. Please note that I have a single page for most of the menu items except for the contact, this is a footer page. The reason for this is at some point the client will want to add eCommerce to the site and I plan to use this for consistency across the site.
Here are some of the problems I am noticing:
1. Mobile view
a. Too much spacing between the elements. Case in point are the three boxes for the Service section. When you scroll down they should ideally be closer to one another but are all spaced out, in particular the third box is pushed further down the view-port. This gives the section a disjointed experience.
b. About us section – text is contained to a more narrower view giving more white space to the left and right. Would be nice to have this expanded out that is similar to the ‘What we do..’ section in the element below this.2. General PC browser view
a. Menu – All but Service and Contact work correctly in scrolling to the correct section when clicking the menu item. Service seems to go to a point between the three service boxes and the about us section. The contact point does not work. The contact point may be due to not being part of the main page (as its part of a footer page) so the developer CSS may not work? Any suggestions?
b. Service section – ‘get in touch’ buttons; how do I link these to go to / scroll to the contact form at the bottom of this scroll page?
Many thanks in advance

I have pretty much figured out all of point 2 however point 1 (mobile view) still needs to be looked at:

When you scroll down they should ideally be closer to one another but are all spaced out, in particular the third box is pushed further down the view-port. Thanks for contacting us!
I edited your page and decreased cell paddings on mobile and changed parallax from default to large screens so it only applies on screens larger than 990px – https://imgur.com/a/GbYsqIX. You can edit each column and use smaller parallax speed on smaller screens in case you would not like to disable parallax.
Please review your website :)

I went through the parallax rules as suggested and for the very small screens I have set it to ‘none’. This works a treat.
The only issue I have is the formatting of the text in mobile view for the ‘about us’ section:
b. About us section – text is contained to a more narrower view giving more space to the left and right. Would be nice to have this expanded out to fill the screen better that is similar to the ‘core values and operations’ section in the grid row below this element.
Thanks
JohnDecember 9, 2022 at 12:09 pm #1375666Hi John,
I have adjusted the padding yesterday but I guess you updated the page after me and it was overwritten. I adjusted the cell once again and decreased padding cell to 50px on smaller screens – https://i.imgur.com/q6v9gN8.png.
Please review your website :)
