We are using Enfold 4.5.3 on our website and automical updates seem to stop at this point. Due to the fact, that we have to switch to PHP 8.0, we would like to upgrade to 4.7.3. How does this work?

    Hey tgruetzner,

Why do you want to update to that specific version? The latest version of the theme is 5.2.1. If you haven’t registered your theme license, then please refer to this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

It should be at least that version, to get rid of that error message concerning the old version of PHP. Newer would also be fine ;-)

I did already register the theme with an API-key, but still the ‘newest’ update that is possible, is 4.5.3.

Maybe updating the theme isn’t possible, because I used a child Theme?
    Theme Update says:
No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.5.3)

    Hi,
Since you are using v4.5.3 it uses the Envato API key which Envato replaced a few years back with the new Token
To update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest installable WP version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
    WordPress_Appearance_Themes_Add-Themes_Add-New.jpg
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
    Installing_theme_from_uploaded_file_This_theme_is_already_installed.jpg
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.
    Theme_updated_successfully.jpg
Then you will need to create a Envato Token so that you can update in the future.
We recommend making the full site backup using your webhost backup tools, please don’t use a backup plugin unless you have specific knowledge on restoring it. Many backup plugins fail on restore.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

Those are not error messages, they are warnings and should not affect any functionality on your site. Which PHP version are you running on the site? Please make sure that it’s 7.4 or higher.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    #1370188

It’s PHP 8.0 and when I’m logged in, it’s written on top of the website’s frontend.

    #1370189

Ah, okay, 8.1 seems to work!
