Hi, after switching to the newest version, activating Pro 6 causes fatal error on Blog Posts and Tribe Events. I have been in touch with their support for a month and they say an update will resolve this issue. First they adviced to downgrade PHP 8 to 7.x. Doing so didn’t solve the problem. I read that PHP 8.0x might do the trick. I am reluctant to switch back and force. What’s your reccomendation?

nine2tenOctober 14, 2022 at 12:38 pm #1368856Hi,
Thanks for contacting us!
Does the issue only happen on Enfold? If so, please create a testing environment and post temporary WP admin and FTP logins here privately so we can look into it.
If the issue happens on default theme as well, please ask TEC team to provide you a temporary solution :)

I have installed beta version of Enfold 5.2 on your site, updated breadcrumbs shortcode function in functions.php and activated Events Calendar Pro plugin and it did not throw fatal error.
Could you please review your website? :)

YigitOctober 17, 2022 at 12:13 pm #1369080Hi, the events calendar team says an update is scheduled to be released on the 17th.
Many Thanks!October 17, 2022 at 2:02 pm #1369094Hi,
I checked your website however I cannot see any errors on single event page even when I am logged in. I attached screenshots in private content field below.
Could you please update the plugin when TEC team releases the new version today and let us know if you still have the issue after that? :)

YigitOctober 17, 2022 at 5:33 pm #1369148Hi,

nine2tenOctober 19, 2022 at 12:25 pm #1369379Hi Yigit,
unfortunately there is no new version of PRO out yet despite the anouncement. Updating WP to 6.0.3 didn’t help either.
best regards,
nine2tenOctober 20, 2022 at 1:14 pm #1369581Hi, I learned from support that on the 20th (New York time) an update is scheduled to be released. Best regards, nine2ten
October 20, 2022 at 1:42 pm #1369584Hi nine2ten,
I enabled the debugging mode to see if it was theme related but it seems like there are other users who are having the same issue. I have disabled debugging mode.
I believe it will be the best to wait for the new version :)

YigitOctober 21, 2022 at 1:40 pm #1369723Hi Yigit,
the update 6.02 has arrived and the fatal errors disappeared.
But, they introduced a new post format for serial events – /series/** – which produces a faulty layout appearance. See Link in private. Serial Event Posts also need their own description – which for now I added manually
I wonder now, if I should exlude /series/ from indexation/crawling, because all the description is the same and a duplicate of Tribe Event Posts (with and without date).
Perhaps you have an advice on how to deal with it from an SEO standpoint.Sincerely,
nine2tenNovember 7, 2022 at 11:48 am #1371637Hi nine2ten,
I am sorry for the late reply!
I tried to reproduce the issue on my testing installation however it works fine there. Please see private content field below.
I did not want to de-activate your active plugins or switch to parent theme for further investigation. Could you please create a testing installation and post WP admin and FTP logins here privately so we can test further there?
Best regards,
YigitNovember 7, 2022 at 12:46 pm #1371645Hi Yigit,
thanks for taking a look. I seems that tribe_events get crawled very slow (like days) while normal posts get indexed much faster. When Google finds a new Event-Post it displays results at first as a tag, a series or a random list view rather than a single post with the given date(s).
While updating some meta info got temporarily lost which may have affected ranking in search engines. I disabled AMP results for tribe_events because of styling / appearence.Sincerely,
nine2tenNovember 24, 2022 at 5:38 pm #1373803Hi,
I am still interested in a solution for the new Serial Format. Please take a look at the link provided. Elements show up twice.
Thanks!
December 9, 2022 at 4:05 pm #1375703Hi,
I am very sorry for the late reply.
Could you please post temporary WP admin logins once again? Maybe you could add a new admin user manually instead of login link so it does not expire? I am going to try to duplicate your installation on my localhost and try to figure out what is causing the issue.
Regards,
Yigit -
