    Hi there,

My site is hosted with Kinsta and the PHP workers max out a lot. Neither our web developers nor the Kinsta support can figure out why the action

    avia_lang_setup (hook: action:after_setup_theme)

is called that often and it sort of seems to be the reason why things happen.

I’d be glad if you could provide some insights and help to calm things down.

    Thank you!

    Hey valorum,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The avia_lang_setup just set the lang folder or directory and load the corresponding .mo file or the translated strings, which is required by multilang plugins such as WPML or Polylang.

Have you tried disabling the Performance > File Compression settings? Are you still editing the site? Please also try to deactivate the plugins temporarily and observe the site.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Isamel,

    Thank you for your response.

I checked the settings and the File Compression for CSS and Javascript is turned off. The site is not being edited any more, there are only minor modifications to update the content. This site is not multilanguage.

I’ve disabled plugins and contacted our developer who recommended contacting Kinsta, but Kinsta told me it’s associated with the theme and I should therefore contact you.

    Best wishes!

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

You can disable the avia_lang_setup hook by adding this code in the functions.php file, but we doubt that it will change anything.

    remove_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'avia_lang_setup' );

How many plugins are currently activated? Did you setup a cron job or any scheduled tasks?

    Best regards,
    Ismael
