What is the best practices method for easy, in-WordPress PDF management, specifically when it comes to replacing PDFs with updated versions?

Thank you for the inquiry.
The following plugin should allow you to replace existing media files including PDFs.
// https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-media-replace/
You can also replace the file by manually uploading the updated version with the same name via S/FTP.
