    Hello,
how can i show a video that loads the data ONLY when a user clicks on play??

    I tried with this:

    [av_slideshow_full size='no scaling' min_height='0px' stretch='image_no_stretch' animation='slide' conditional_play='confirm_all' autoplay='false' interval='5' control_layout='av-control-default' src='' attachment='' attachment_size='' position='top left' repeat='no-repeat' attach='scroll' av_uid='av-jioetlbr' custom_class='']
    [av_slide_full slide_type='video' id='' video='..............mp4' mobile_image='' fallback_link='http://' video_format='full' video_ratio='16:9' video_mute='aviaTBaviaTBvideo_mute' video_autoplay='aviaTBaviaTBvideo_autoplay' title='' custom_title_size='' custom_content_size='' caption_pos='caption_center caption_center_framed caption_framed' link_apply='' link='lightbox' link_target='' button_label='Click me' button_color='light' link1='manually,http://' link_target1='' button_label2='Click me' button_color2='light' link2='manually,http://' link_target2='' font_color='' custom_title='' custom_content='' overlay_opacity='0.5' overlay_color='' overlay_pattern='' overlay_custom_pattern='' av-medium-font-size-title='' av-small-font-size-title='' av-mini-font-size-title='' av-medium-font-size='' av-small-font-size='' av-mini-font-size='' av_uid='av-3a6t2t'][/av_slide_full]
    [/av_slideshow_full]

It does exactly what i want:
    – Showing a preview
    – it lets the user decide if he wants to play by clicking on play.

BUT — it has 12 MB which are already transfered on pageload which is NOT userfriendly.

    General question again:
How can i provide a video that does not consume peoples bandwith even when they dont want to see the video?

(Video should be full stretch on a fullstretch design and it is stored local – not on Vimeo or Youtube)

    Kind regards
    Elvira

    Hey InSilentio,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

In the slider’s Advanced > Privacy toggle, there is a setting called Lazy Load videos where you can set the video to only load on user interaction. However, you will have to use videos from youtube and vimeo instead of a locally hosted media file.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,
    do i understand that right?

Enfold does not offer the option to provide locally hosted video in a “usability” way and if i want to take care of my customers bandwith (or SEO) i have to use videos in a way which is not safe regarding GDPR?

(Can you explain why “lazy load” is not available with locally hosted videos?
Can you explain how i add a fullwidth-video which should play only on useraction in accordance to the GDPR? )

    kind regards
    Elvira

We have checked the slider settings again and it looks like you can stop locally hosted video from autoplaying and you can add a preview or fallback image but the video will still load automatically or will not be lazy loaded, unlike when using youtube or vimeo videos.

To stop the video from autoplaying, edit the video slide, go to the Styling > Video Settings panel and tick the Disable Autoplay option. You can add a preview image in the Content > Fallback Images panel.

    Best regards,

    Sorry, but i dont understand.
Maybe i should go back one step and describe better what i need:

    A video that:
    – is full stretch
    – shows any kind of preview
    – does not load data before a user clicks on “play”
    – is stored local

    kind regards

    Hi,

You can do all of the above except this one.

    – does not load data before a user clicks on “play”

The autoplay can be disabled but the locally stored video will still be preloaded.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
