    Hello!

    We created a color-Section element with a german and english M4V (WEBM as fallback) Video on our homepage. The german version works flawless, but the english version of the site always shows the german video or a blank black screen.

    What we tried so far:

    • Translated and changed the video file in WPML side by side translation editor -> english page shows the german version of the video
    • Translated and changed the video file in Avia Layout Architect -> english page won’t load no video and shows a black output
    • Only WPML Plugin and WooCommerce is running
    • Latest theme and WPML Updates installed

    Hey,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the late reply!

    We have updated the theme to the latest dev version and updated the translation on English page. That did not help with the issue. Then I changed the video file to .webm version in English version and that helped.

    Could you please review your website and let us know if you need further assistance? :)

    Hi Yigit!

    Yes, it’s working with the .webm File, but it seems .webm is not support by Safari so far. I get a blank black screen on an mobile iOS Device, because it doesn’t fall back to the m4v file at all in the english version.

    It tried to apply the m4v Video to the responsive mobile container, but there I get also a black blank screen. Only the .webm files seems to be working in english versions. Strange behaviour!

    Can you review this, if you get a blank black screen on iOS as well? Any suggestions?

    Yes, I got black screen on both IOS and macOS. webm files are not supported by Apple – https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3961142

    Would it be possible for you to convert English version of the video to mp4 as well? :)
