GuestOur nonprofit organization has been successfully using Enfold for several years. It was installed and configured for us by a webmaster who had purchased it for us as a client of his. Now, he is no longer a webmaster.
Have things changed recently with Tags and Enfold, given the latest WP updates regarding taxonomies? Our taxonomies are still visible on the back-end, but attempting to retrieve them in certain ways on the front-end results in an error. Ex: https://pilgrimcenterofhope.org/category/pilgrimages/journeys-of-hope/

Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Best regards,

GuestThank you!
We just upgraded to the latest WP version, and now our tags do not work. Category also will not display by permalink, ex: https://pilgrimcenterofhope.org/tag/pilgrimage-local/ and https://pilgrimcenterofhope.org/category/pilgrimages/journeys-of-hope/ Is there a known cause for this type of problem? We updated all our plugins and our theme, but the issue still remains.
Meanwhile we have purchased our own copy of the theme, FYI.

March 24, 2022 at 2:48 pm #1345880Hi,
Thanks for that. We haven’t had any other reports of this not working on the version you are running, so the problem is likely local to your site. Could you try deactivating all plugins, to see if that changes anything please?
Best regards,
RikardMarch 25, 2022 at 4:04 pm #1346024Thanks. It appears to be a conflict with The Events Calendar plugin. I’ll notify their team.
March 25, 2022 at 4:20 pm #1346032I deactivated all nonessential plugins, then tested to see if there were any posts appearing at https://pilgrimcenterofhope.org/tag/pilgrimage-local/
There were none still.
So, I deactivated other plugins one-by-one. After I deactivated the latest version of The Events Calendar, my posts appeared on https://pilgrimcenterofhope.org/tag/pilgrimage-local/
I also tried rolling back several versions of The Events Calendar, but I got halfway down the list and still there was a conflict. So, I can only imagine that this issue is related to something in the Enfold update and/or WordPress update, since we recently updated both the theme and our version of WordPress to the latest versions. We had already been using the latest version of The Events Calendar.
I assume we are not the only ones who use this plugin with Enfold. What might be the source of this problem?
March 28, 2022 at 1:14 pm #1346294Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Another events plugin (Modern Events Calendar Lite) has been installed in place of the previous one and it looks like the items in the tag pages are still displaying correctly. Do you still require the previous plugin?
We may need to deactivate the current plugin and activate the other in order to check the issue properly. Would that be ok? Is there a staging or development version of the site?
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 28, 2022 at 3:41 pm #1346318Ismael, thanks. We decided to use the new plugin; the issue with Tribe’s Events Calendar was not worth all the extra trouble for us, as our website is needing other development needs immediately.
Unfortunately, we do not have a staging version of the site, nor do we have space on our host for creating one.
We greatly appreciate your team walking through this with us.
