I installed the Easy Table of Contents plugin. When I select Posts to auto-add the TOC in the plugin settings, it causes an issue. The whole body of the post goes blank, with a dark background. The header of the website is still there. When I unselect Posts in the settings, it goes back to normal.

Any thoughts on what’s going on here? Direction?

    Thanks.

    Hey emendowa,

Is this is the plugin you’re referring https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-table-of-contents/ ?

    Best regards,

Hi, actually my original question was about an issue I was having when trying to use the plug in.

When I go to the settings and select Posts to auto-include the TOC in the plugin settings, it causes an issue. The whole body of the post goes blank, with a dark background. The header of the website is still there. When I unselect Posts in the settings, it goes back to normal.

Any thoughts on what’s going on here? Direction?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Sorry about that. Could you post admin WordPress login details in private, so that we can have a closer look please? Also please let us know where we can see and reproduce the problem you are having.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

Thanks for that. I tried activating the Auto Insert Posts in the plugin options, but I’m not sure where we can see the problem you are describing?

To see the problem, you will need to go to the webpage itself and see a blog post. This is in Education Hub, and click on any blog post. You’ll see that once you activate the auto-insert for the plugin, it causes a problem in the blog post. If you turn off the plugin auto-insert, the blog page functions normally.

    Hi,
Thanks for the login, I tested and saw the error, but there are no error messages in the browser console. When I check the plugin support page it says this same error occurs on woocommerce pages and to not use on them. I thought perhaps trying a shortcode on the post might work instead of Auto Insert Posts, but it looks like it doesn’t support shortcodes.
I don’t see that we could solve this as we don’t see any console errors to investigate with, I recommend trying a different plugin.

    Best regards,
    Mike
