Good evening,
Please help!!! My Enfold theme still will not update from version 4.1.2. It appears to be something that changed on the Enfold side that many other people have also had an issue trying to update from version 4.1.2. I have read numerous forums about this specific issue over the years and spent countless hours which have amounted to entire days trying to update my Enfold website theme, but it will not update from Version 4.1.2. I have tried numerous suggested troubleshooting methods recommended in the Kriesi forums which have not worked. My patience has run out. I have seen many other people also try updating thru FTP which still did not work. I am now unable to update thru FTP at this time and really need your help getting the Theme to simply update because it is a major security concern and I am about to give up on the Enfold theme. The last few years have been absolutely horrible and I don’t have any more time to try to get the Enfold theme to update like it is supposed to. In the past, the theme update consistently worked fine in the WordPress Dashboard with my theme forest API key entered in the theme options as instructed. *The Kriesi website will also not allow me to contact support about the updates not working even though I thought I purchased lifetime theme updates and support.
I’m pretty sure I saw a forum a while back where moderator Yigit impressively figured out how to fix the same specific issue for someone else. Can you please have them fix whatever is broken and update the theme on my website however needed whether that be via FTP, etc.? Thanks for contacting us!
That version of Enfold you are using is still using API Keys which is not allowed anymore by Envato/Themeforest since it is now using Private Tokens.
Please generate a private token first, further information and instructions can be found in our documentation: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token
Next, please install and use this plugin to update Enfold: https://www.envato.com/lp/market-plugin/

I immediately went to work the night you responded as soon as I saw your message and I think your helpful instructions above worked to update the Enfold theme. Your input is appreciated more than you know. At first, the site appeared to be working fine since updating the Enfold theme. Then the site became extremely slow* and many pages titles changed in color instead of the original dark teal, the “contact us” button language moved to the far left instead of in the middle, and other various styling altered which I did not change. *Most importantly, now when viewing the website on mobile, the navigation box in the top right to get to the other pages on the website is all white when clicked on so the mobile visitor cannot see any of the other pages or navigate to them unless they hover over each hidden page name then it highlights them in teal and you can see the letters in white. The same navigation box works and looks fine when the website is viewed on Desktop, so I do not know how the Enfold theme update affected/changed only the mobile navigation box or how to fix it?
I also received a new error/critical issue that says “your site is set to log errors to a potentially public file” It says the value “WP_DEBUG_Log has been added to this website’s configuration file and may be written to a file which is potentially available to all users”.
*Can you please briefly look at the site to see if the coding looks ok/fix if possible to help make sure that nefarious code was not somehow added when the Enfold theme was out of date because I was unable to update it? (I think the above new issues since updating are probably something that may take someone who knows what they are doing less than a minute or two to fix.) Thank you again.

Thanks for the update. We’re not able to check your site because of the error in private. Could you make sure that you have a valid SSL certificate first of all please?

I confirmed the SSL certificate should be valid now. The only current issues since updating the Enfold theme are:
1. When viewing the site on mobile, the navigation box in the top right to get to the other pages on the website is all white when clicked on so the mobile visitor cannot see any of the other page names (bc also the color white) or navigate to them unless they hover over each hidden page name then it highlights them in teal and you can see the letters in white. How do I fix?2. When viewing the website on mobile, the information in the bottom footer area (client office, client office hours, client contact hours, menu, etc.) on the About Us page is in a different orientation that the other pages, but should not be. It should be the same orientation at the other pages. How do I fix?

2. Please try this CSS as well:

I tried adding the Quick CSS #1 above and it worked when viewing on mobile for every page except the home page which is most important. Could the issue have something to do with the existing Quick CSS code in the same location that was initially added for my Logo that I shared below in private content?

Thanks for the update. I can’t see any difference on your home page, compared to your other pages though. Could you try using a different browser, or check in an incognito or private browser tab please?

(I am the same user LoyalCustomer, but the Kriesi website will not let me login under that username and I mention this username in the private content way at the top in the first post.) It appears somehow the Enfold theme was deleted from my website, but I haven’t even logged in or changed anything. It appears the Enfold Child theme is still there, but the main Enfold Parent theme is not.
There is an error message on the Appearance tab in WordPress that says: “Broken Themes. The following themes are installed, but incomplete. Name: Enfold Description: stylesheet is missing.” There is now an option to install the Enfold theme again on the Envato Market tab, but when I try to install the Enfold theme again is gives an error: “Destination folder already exists. /var/www/wp-content/themes/enfold/ Theme install failed.”. I tried clearing the cache, then re-installing, I tried from different browsers, and other problem solving and nothing seems to work.
The Enfold theme on my website seems to constantly have issues in regards to updates and I appreciate your help getting it working correctly. Please help make whatever urgent fixes are required to get the website working again (info shared in private content). I am unable to access the site by FTP or to upload files etc. due to personal matters I am still attending to and greatly appreciate your help. Thank you very much.
