    Hi
    We had the following problem.
    After creating a new website under new.domain.ch (Subdomain new), we transfered the files to domain.ch (main domain). Then we changed all entries in the database from new.domain.ch to domain.ch.
    Then all Enfold settings were lost.
    We had to go back to new.domain.ch, export the Enfold settings, transfer to domain.ch and import the Enfold settings.
    Is that normal?
    A bit more in the past, website transfers like this worked without export/import the Enfold settings.

    Hey Michael,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Have you tried importing the theme options AFTER changing the entries in the database instead? Make sure to export the theme options first before editing the domain name.

    Did you actually check the Enfold > Theme Options? Are the options gone or just the site styling? It is possible that the compressed files (Performance > File Compression) still contain the old domain name, which is why the site styles are gone.

    I exported now the data before changing the database entries.
    Then I imported it after changing the database entries.
    My question which I had ist, why this worked some months ago, so I could change the database entries and copy the files to the new domain and it worked, but now this does not work anymore, I have to export and import the Enfold settings.
    Why I lose the settings when I change the domain? Because I did not loose the settings some moths ago…had something changed in Enfold expecting that?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We are NOT really sure about that but it might be due to the new post css file management or the file compression settings. Either way, you should be able to restore the theme options by re-importing them.

    Okey… so in future we will do it every time like this – export the settings, transfer the website, import the settings.
