    Hi there,

    My footer is missing even though I followed instructions detailed here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/missing-footer-after-updating-to-enfold-4-8-6-3-please-read-this-first/

    I did not have a custom footer.php file in my child theme folder so I just uploaded the updated files from the parent into the child folder.

    I made sure all the right options were selected in the theme options panel. However, the footer is not showing up.

    Please let me know how to solve this.

    Hey Kaylynne,

    Are you overriding header.php? If so then try to replace that with the parent theme file, then add your customisations back in after that. If you need further help, the please activate Appearance->Theme Editor on your installation, or share FTP login details with us in private.

    Hi there,

    I needed to renew my licence before I could reply to you.

    I do not override the footer.php file in my child theme. In fact, as a quick fix I did copy the file from the parent theme but I haven’t made any changes to the file… but obviously it did not work :)

    I have activated the theme editor on my installation.

    Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. I see that you are overriding header.php and footer.php in your child theme, please try updating those files with the content of the parent theme files, then add your customisations back in after that.
