Hi,
I am trying to translate my menus but keep getting a fatal error when I try to make an English menu:

November 18, 2021 at 4:41 am #1329411Hey Wendy,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Did you install any menu plugins or any extensions that add features to the default menu? Please try to deactivate the plugins temporarily, then try to translate the menus again.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 18, 2021 at 10:48 am #1329468Hi Ismael,
I have de-activated all plugins except the WMPL-plugin, but the error remains. Previously I had a fatal error on my website regarding line 311 in the avia_blog.php and copied and paste a code from another thread of this Forum and solve that problem. I don’t think this has anything to do with the current error but just to be sure: below is the code I copied into avia_blog.php.
The weird thing is that the Germand and French translation allow me to create a menu, but the English version doesn’t.

November 19, 2021 at 5:31 am #1329598Hi,
Thank you for the info.
We may need to access the site and deactivate the plugins temporarily in order to properly inspect the issue. Please provide the site URL in the private field and include the login details. And it is probably a good idea to create a site backup or a restore point just in case.
Best regards,

Thanks for the update and login details. The details you sent seem to be working, but after that your site is asking for a Google Authenticator code, could you share that code with us as well please?
Best regards,

Thanks for the update, I could get in now. I updated a file which might be causing the problem you were having, could you try to translate your menu again please?
Best regards,

Nope, still not possible to translate the English menu. I get the same errore. You can see the error in the Appearance – Menu (English version)
November 22, 2021 at 12:17 pm #1329930Hi,
Thanks for the update, I see the same problem on my end as well unfortunately. Does the same problem happen if you activate one of the default WordPress themes? We can try it out for you, if you give us permission to install one of the default WordPress themes, and activate it temporarily.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 22, 2021 at 12:18 pm #1329931Hi Rikard,
Sure, you can try another wordpress theme. I’ve installed the regular 2021 theme for you.
November 22, 2021 at 12:55 pm #1329938Hi,
Thanks for that. I see the same problem when the default WordPress theme is active, so this is likely a problem with WPML, or some sort of conflict from another plugin. Did you try to deactivate all plugins except the WPML plugins? If that doesn’t help, then please try reaching out to WPML support, as they should be in a better place to help you out with this.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 22, 2021 at 1:04 pm #1329940Okay, Rikard, I’ll contact WPML. Thank you
