I have not worked on this website for several months. The user just requested that I add some new photos to some of the pages and provide a link in those photos to other pages which I have done NUMEROUS times before without issue.
I put up the photos with no problem and click on the icon (looks like a chain) to create the link. I enter the URL as always in the little window and click SAVE. It appears to save properly but when I go back to edit the same photo again, the URL field has gone blank again as if I never entered it.
Since I had photos with links in them from several months ago, I tried to change one of them to see if that would work. I edited the photo like before, and clicked on the icon to bring up the URL. The original URL was still present. I changed it to another valid link as a test and clicked SAVE. When I edited the photo, the change had not taken and the original URL had replaced my change.
I also make sure that I updated enfold and all plugins to current versions.
What is wrong?
Please Help.
Alan

November 13, 2021 at 8:44 am #1328856Hi,
Thanks for providing us with admin access.
Are you referring to this section? (screenshot in private content)
I tried to put a link on the Adult Bib and it worked properly, please try to clear your browser cache, maybe some old js files are being fetched in the browser cache which causes issues.Best regards,
NikkoNovember 13, 2021 at 5:32 pm #1328881Hi Nikko,
Using Adult Bib is an excrellent example of my problem and I will do the same in testing.
Tried clearing the browser AND enfold cache .,, no luck .. problem is still there for me. I entered a link, saved it and when I edited the photo again, the link had disappeared.
Clearly something is different from your system and mine.
What do I try next?

November 14, 2021 at 1:49 am #1328905Hi Alan,
I tried to check it again and I noticed the link in Adult Bib was gone when I’m not logged in but when I’m logged in it’s working, clicking on Managed WordPress (black top bar) then Flush Cache seems to have helped.
Now those links seem to be working except for these five items (Artist Supplies, Children’s Robes, Fingertip Towels, Masks and Scarves).
After saving, please try to click on Managed WordPress > Flush Cache.
If that does not help, try using a different browser, for example, Firefox.
If that still doesn’t work, before saving please right-click on any part of the browser click Inspect (this should open a panel) then click Console, screenshot it then post it in private content so we can check it.Best regards,
NikkoNovember 14, 2021 at 4:49 pm #1328949Nikko,
Tried all your suggestions … no luck .. nothing worked ….
I think I put the screenshot up below correctly … I’m a noobie at using imgur
I know this is a strange problem … thought it would be an easy solve .. we’ll just keep working at it together. Thanks for all your help on this.

November 14, 2021 at 6:19 pm #1328954Hi Alan,
Thanks for the screenshot, it’s good.
Is that on the backend of the homepage?
In your screenshot, I could see Mixed Content however it’s not pointing to the URL of your site, can you try to disable CDN in Godaddy (the URL seems to be from Godaddy’s CDN)? I believe you can do that via cPanel, then check if it helps.Best regards,

Can you give us a screenshot? (Inspect Element > Console) so we can see if errors still points to that URL.
Best regards,

We’re happy to hear that you have a workaround that’s working :)
The URL that I mentioned was the CDN URL on the screenshot you gave previously (I put it in private content) which I believe might be causing the issue.
I think another workaround is just to use the Image element, just edit it and go to Advanced > Link Settings then set Image Link to Set Manually then add the link or set it to Page and choose the page you want to link.
I hope this helps.Best regards,

I apologize for the delayed response.
I could not see the image for GhiIzAm but I modified lBqOd4Q so I can point out the CDN URL (which is not appearing on my end) which is supposed to be using the Correct URL (private content).
The Mixed Content Error is basically just your site is using HTTPS however the stylesheet was using HTTP (you can check it on the screenshot), can you try to disable CSS file merging and compression then check Delete old CSS and JS files? and Update the Theme Options? and see if it helps.Best regards,

The error is still pointing to the favicon causing the Mixed Content error, can you try to remove the Favicon in Enfold > Theme Options > Favicon? then check.
If the issue still persists, try to check in Appearance > Customize if a favicon is set as well (remove it).Best regards,
NikkoDecember 6, 2021 at 11:26 pm #1331766Nikko,
Sorry, I was called away from this project for a few days. Just got back to it today.
Before I removed the favicon, My client asked me to add a new page and some new images some with links to other pages.

Nothing is working now
Even putting the link in the image itself did not work. No matter where I put the link,,textbox or image, it disappears upon saving.
(FYI … Please make sure I am putting the link in the image correctly … I edit the image, open “ADVANCED OPTIONS” and put the link in the field “Link Rel” and click UPDATE. Then SAVE on the main screen. When I edit the image again, the link is gone. Even after I click UPDATE and reedit the image, the link is gone. It disappears after UPDATE even before I get to the SAVE.)
Removing the favicon made no difference.
FYI .. I deactivated all my plugins that were active to see if one of them was causing the problem and that didn’t help either.
So there is no way I can add a link to any image now as nothing is working.
This problem is getting critical now … PLEASE HELP
ALAN

December 9, 2021 at 12:25 pm #1332100Hi Alan,
I apologize for the delayed response.
I have tried to make changes on your site, I have added the Enfold favicon and it works properly now.
As for link issues, I have tried to create an image with link (link in private content) and it’s also working properly.
Are you referring to the Tea Towels page? can you put in private content where those 4 items should be linked? so we can try to add it.Best regards,
NikkoDecember 9, 2021 at 6:53 pm #1332188Hi Nikko,
Try this … go to the home page … open the “Tea Towels” image and try and put a link to the actual “Tea Towels” page (see below). Try putting the link via the text box and also via the image. In both cases the link disappears as as soon as you leave the edit screen.
Since it seems to work for you, I thought it might be related to my own development laptop. So I tried it on a different device and the results are exactly the same.
If you cannot reproduce the error now, I will very surprised as it is so apparent to me. I am totally handicapped in my development until I can get this problem resolved.
Reminder … several months ago, when I was working alot on this website, it always worked and links were saved without a problem. It is only in the last month since I started working on this website again that it has failed to save the link. That and the extensive testing that you and I have already done, increases my feeling that this is an Enfold issue.
I hope you can find ithe problem and resolve it. Please feel free to encourage other members of your Enfold technical team to get involved as well.
Regards,
Alan
December 10, 2021 at 3:02 am #1332205Hi Alan,
I think the issue maybe related to your IP since any device you used has this issue.
Maybe your hosting provider can help with the issue you are having, since we don’t get the same results even it’s the same site we are trying to make changes.
Also, if it’s an Enfold issue, then we should also be having the same issues as you have on your end and people would report it.Best regards,
Nikko -
