    Dear crisis team,
so far I have tried a lot to get my images of the full-witdh-slider sharp, but there is always a little blurring (see link to staging site below)
I’ve found this and tried – with no success:

The original site uses “Revolution Slider” and it works fine. Is there a way to get the images sharp in the built-in slider or do I have to use Layer Slider or Revolution Slider?
    Thanks in advance
    Lena

    Hey lenalavendel,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Looks like you are using a different image in the Enfold slider. Please check the private field.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Thanks Ismael,
in enfold slider I used a different image because I don’t want it that high and it took too much space. In the responsive slider, the image has an almost square format and is still only displayed as a narrow strip in the front end.
That’s why I cut the image to a height of 800px for the enfold slider, but with less height there is always a little blurring.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

Can we have access to the original image? The image in the theme slider is a bit blurry already, so we are not sure if that is the original copy. Did you install an image compression plugin?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Thank you Ismael for taking the time to deal with this problem.
I have now inserted the same images as in Rev. Slider of the original page. There remains a minimal amount of blurring in the enfold slider, which is unwanted as the website is about graphics and fonts.
I give you login credentials, maybe you can have a look?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

We may need to have access to the original image in order to properly reproduce issue. Please upload the original image on dropbox or on any third party image hosting.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

We created a test page, uploaded the resized version of the original image and this seems to be much more sharper than the previous one. (see private field)

How did you crop the original image, or which image editor did you use? Did you set the image quality to 100% before saving?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Thanks ismael, the test image and questions helped me understand a little bit more. Maybe I just reduced the images too much. I usually use photoshop and the option “export” + “save for web”.
Now I croped the image, saved it normally with 100% and uploaded it in the test slider. On a 13-inch screen I see no difference to your test image. But with a larger screen (24 / 27 inches), your image is slightly sharper.
How did you get the few more pixels? Which image editor do you use?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

We used Affinity Designer to crop and resize the image. We uses the preset (JPEG Best Quality), which sets the image quality to 100% by default, and resampling to Bilinear. You should also check the file size difference between the image that we edited and yours.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
