HI
There’s a text in the Menus editing page, on the homepage element: “inactive custom 404 page (change)”. why is it there?-
how do I setup properly the 404 page then?
I already copied 404.php and includes/error404.php to enfold-child but have not edited them
Not sure what to select for 404 in theme options under “Select Your Custom Error 404 Page”. The 404 page is not one of the options there.
I do get a 404 displayed when an error URL is requested
Is it possible to use the WP editor to modify the text on the 404.php page? if not, how is it best to edit it?Thank you

Thank you for the inquiry.
You can use the default editor or the Advance Layout Builder (ALB) to create a custom 404 page. Once the page is created, you have to set the Enfold > Theme Options > Custom Error 404 Page to the second or third option, then Select Your Custom Error 404 Page in the dropdown.
Best regards,

For now I wish to keep using the default theme 404.
How do I assign it in theme options?October 25, 2021 at 3:44 pm #1326337Hi,
Please go to Enfold theme options > Custom Error 404 Page and choose “No custom 404 page selected” option :)
Best regards,

October 25, 2021 at 5:24 pm #1326363Hi,
Could you please go back to Enfold theme options > Custom Error 404 page and choose “Redirect to selected page” and choose “Select Page” option at the very top of “Select Your Custom Error 404 Page” field and then choose “No custom 404 page selected” option in “Custom Error 404 Page” and save once again?
Best regards,
