    Hi,
    I would like to use a horizontal scrolling text above the menu with some text about new dates / events / announcements.
    I tried the Ditty News Ticker Plugin in order to get scrolling text. I posted the shortcode into the phonenumber field in the header, but it didn’t work. Do I have to use the debug mode as well in order to work for this?
    I just need a news ticker with some dates running on top of the page.
    Right now the scrolling text only appears on the woocomerce product pages.

    Thanks and regards,
    Marie

    Hey Marie,

    Where can we see and reproduce the problem you are having? Did you get a shortcode to use from the plugin you are using?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
    yes, I use a shortcode. Right now it only works when I post it into a widget. See e.g. ‘Aktuelle Termine’ Widget here https://pottbrenner.de/produkt/pottbrenner-stehtisch/
    But I want it to appear like this above (or top of) the header on each page.

    Best regards,
    Marie

    i think it will be only a matter of postion or width.
    can you have a look into your page with developer tools.
    try ( to see only if there are some entries ) – then style it in a different way.

    .mtphr-dnt-tick-contents {
        position: relative;
        overflow: visible;
        height: 35px;
        width: 500px;
    }

    Hi Rikard,

    Please note: right now we have massive trouble, because of the last woocommerce update which was faulty and now wordpress is only working with woocommerce deactivated. Please help us with this. I guess it has something to do with the enfold theme? Thank you so much!

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. Did you try to disable all other plugins, then enable WooCommerce? If not, then please try that out. We can do it for you, if you give us permission to do so. Also please make sure that you have backups of the site before you start making changes.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,
    I see that you are using PHP v8.0.10 on your server, please try downgrading to v7.x
    and then clear your caches. You may also want to deactivate your other WooCommerce plugins before re-activating the main WooCommerce plugin.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
    Thanks for tring , above you wrote “last woocommerce update which was faulty” and the error says “No such file or directory” so try deactivating your plugins and reinstalling woocommerce, perhaps a manual installation via FTP might be easiest. Perhaps you should also make a backup of your site.

    Best regards,
    Mike
