    Hi,

I have over 3,000 strings in WPML that is tied to the Avia Framework. This is very heavy on the DB and is probably a reason why this site is so slow in the backend and frontend. I would like to delete them as much as possible to get that number down. Even delete them all if it doesn’t impact the content on the frontend.

And I can’t obviously go trough them one by one.

    Here is a screenshot: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/12928137?key=cfee5ffba8ed84d232a8864e9f9f16c4

So basically, my question is does theses strings impact the translation of the frontend content itself or is it just backend admin stuff?

    Thanks

    Hey Phet,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

How did you know that these strings are slowing the site? A lot of those strings are actually displayed in the frontend, so you just cannot remove them without affecting the translations. And please note that WordPress or WPML does not save those entries in the database. They are directly retrieved from the language files, so there is no reason that they will affect the database queries or the site speed in general.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
