    Hlelo,
    It seems a recent issue.
I have a vimeo video in slider and in gtmetrix my homepage that used to weight 1,39 MB now is more than 21MB due to some strange video files hosted on 85vod-adaptive.akamaized.net very likely related to vimeo.
Deleting the slide the issue is solved, so I did in live website.

You still can see the issue in cloned site:
    https://dev.officinadeiricordi.it/
and you can see the following gtmetrix result an related dropped performance for the heavy page weight.

The fact us that vimeo video inserted in this page using different avia element have not this issue

    This is the gmetrix result

    Thank you!

    Hey marcie73,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The difference is that the video in the “arte-del-restauro” is not set to auto play, while it does in the slider or in the home page. You can prevent or remove the enormous network payload by disabling the autoplay.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
it has always been in autoplay since I added it in the slider.
And today I checked the Gtmetrix again, in autoplay, and now it is everything back to normal.
Probably it is fault of those of Vimeo that they want to scare off people!!
It took me 2 hours to understand where these files could come from, and and thought the most horrible things.
It was better I was on vacation that day that I checked!!
Thank you anyway for your support and understanding.

No problem. Glad to know that it is now back to normal. Let us know if you need anything else.

    Have a nice day.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
