    Hi guys,

I have been using the Hand-Picked Products Block from WooCommerce to display relevant products on my blog or other pages with Enfold. This is because the inbuilt Product Grid only allows selection of a whole category. My store has thousands of items so this does not work.

I need to now create a landing page layout that includes a fullwidth image below the header, no title/breadcrumbs, some text and a carousel of products, however I can not use the Hand-Picked Products block on a page with the Avia Layout Builder.

Can you tell me how I could achieve such a layout with either the block editor or ALB?

    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hi Jason,

There’s nothing like that in the theme unfortunately, and creating such functionality would be out of scope of theme support. I’m not sure exactly how that plugin works though, doesn’t it give you the option to use shortcodes? If so then you should be able to use it with the Layout Builder.

    Best regards,

I don’t think Gutenberg Blocks can be invoked with a shortcode, can they?

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I’m not sure if they can to be honest with you, so the only option you get from the plugin is an additional Gutenberg block then?

You have never heard of the plugin WooCommerce?

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I’m familiar with WooCommerce yes, but I’m not familiar with the Hand-Picked Products Block you are referring to. In any case, the theme doesn’t have functionality like that.

    Best regards,

The block is provided in a stock Woocommerce installation.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. The Enfold Layout Builder is not compatible with the Gutenberg/Block editor in WordPress unfortunately. So if you can’t use the block in question as a shortcode, then you cannot use it in the Layout Builder.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
