Hi,
I’m having an issue with your Privacy/Cookies plugin.
I choose “User must accept and must optin, only essential cookies selected” for Default Cookie Behaviour but Google Analytics cookies are automaticaly loaded on first visit. I tried “User must accept and can opt-out, all selected by default” but I have the same Issue.You can see in private content the illustration of my problem.
I also put you in private content the admin connection.Can you tell me how to solve this issue ?
Thank you for helping !
RegardsJune 14, 2021 at 6:32 am #1305519Hey Obeatone,
Thank you for the inquiry.
It is possible that those are already there before enabling the privacy options. Please note that any related cookies that are already added in the local storage before enabling the privacy option will not be removed automatically. Try to remove the cookies manually, then refresh the page. This time, the cookies should not be added to the storage.

Thank you for replying.
I’m using the website on Privacy mode and there is no cookie already added. I emptied my Cookies and cache and there is still two cookies added automaticaly > _ga and _ga_RVGHYU5F..
Can you tell me how to fix that ?
Thank you in advance !
RegardsJune 16, 2021 at 1:02 pm #1305985Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We checked the theme options and the Privacy & Cookies > Cookie Handling > Default Cookie Behavior is set to the second option, which is why all external services are enabled by default. You have to set it to either the third or fourth option. And you should also update the theme to the latest version, 4.8.3.

RegardsJune 20, 2021 at 9:11 pm #1306587Hi,
How did you add the analytics snippet? The privacy option cannot block the script because the tracking snippet was not added in the Enfold > Google Services > Google Analytics field. You have to add the code in that field.

Google gave me this :
<script async src=”https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-XXXXXXXXXX”></script>
<script>
window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
gtag(‘js’, new Date());gtag(‘config’, ‘G-XXXXXXXXXX’);
</script>This is the new GA tracking tag.
Can i put it directly in Enfold > Google Services > Google Analytics field ?Thank you for helping !
RegardsJune 22, 2021 at 6:17 am #1306863Hi,
Yes, you can add the whole code directly in the field or just add the tracking ID. It should work fine.

I think the Google Analytics tracking is not working and that is why I entered it directly in the head.php.Can you confirm me that the new GA tracking ID is compatible with Enfold ?
The tracking is no more UA-XXXXXXXXXX … but G-XXXXXXXXXX .Thank your for your help !
RegardsJune 25, 2021 at 6:31 am #1307395Hi,
Yes, the new GA version should work fine with the theme. It was added on version 4.8.
- added: support for new Google 4 Analytics Tracking Codes G-XXXXX

IsmaelJune 25, 2021 at 2:29 pm #1307453My version is 4.7.6.4…
Is it possible to update a file or a little thing ? I don’t want to update all the theme.Thank you for helping.
RegardsJune 28, 2021 at 8:54 am #1307682Hi,
Thank you for the update.
That is possible but it is not recommended because a lot of the files are related and updating only one file could lead to errors or unexpected behavior. Please update the theme and create a child theme in future.
