    Hi.
    I’m having some issues regarding text widget in the avia layout builder.
    Since update (don’t know when because it was the cuter who updated) the element seems to keep some html code, preventing us to change anything in the text element. Has anyone had the same issue ?
    Is it possible to have someone log in look at the site and give a second opinion on how to resolve the case?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Iben,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    You are currently using an old version of Enfold 4.2 which is not compatible with your WordPress version. Updating the theme should solve the issue.
    Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.3.

    Also, I noticed that you have modified footer.php and header.php files on your child theme. Those might need updating as well. If you have not noted the changes you made on those files, please let us know so we can send you a copy of these files from version 4.2 to compare differences :)

    Thank you so much for the quick response :)
    I can see that you’re completely right about the old version, but the strange thing is when I click on “theme update” is does not provide me with the update button so I am not quite sure how to update from Enfold 4.2 to version 4.8.3.
    I wonder if I have to do it manually or maybe you can shed some light on it for me :)?

    Regarding to the changes in the footer.php and header.php.
    Is it the quick css you mean? If so I am not quite sure what you mean by updating them and I probably need a copy of these files from version 4.2 to compare differences :) Could you elaborate what you mean by updating them?

    I just updated enfold via FTP and the website went offline I assume I did a big mistake!! My latest version was 4.2 so a pretty old one. Can you help me to fix it? :(

    I sorry Im not really able to help u. If u read above I myself need help with some problems with enfold theme :)
    Maybe u have to make a new thread with your problem :)

    Hi Btina,

    I’ve downgraded your site to the previous version of the theme, and it’s working as it should now. I’m not sure why this problem is happening with the latest version of the theme unfortunately. If you need further help, then please try copying the site to a staging site first, so that we can update there first.

    Hi Iben,

    Envato has updated their API and replaced API keys with Personal Token and we have implemented those changes in Enfold 4.5 so Enfold versions older than 4.5 requires a manual update first. Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.3 and after that generate a Personal Token by referring to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert it in Enfold theme options.

    We can update your theme as well if you like but please have a backup first and post FTP logins here privately so we can be on the safe side :)

    You can login on ThemeForest with the account you purchased Enfold and go to downloads page to download the latest version :)
