Hi all,
I have been using a Fullwidth Easy Slider on my frontpage (https://dreamsanctuary.net/) and it has always worked. Two days ago, I noticed it does not work anymore and I don’t know what to do. I tried making another Slider but new one was not displaying either. What should I do?
See credentials down below.
May 28, 2021 at 7:59 am #1302766I had another look at the problem and I can’t fix it by myself.
I tried disabling all the plugins, reloaded the page but that did not change anything.
I tried purging the cache and it did not change anything.
I tried creating a new post with both Fullwidth Easy Slider and Easy Slider and none of them show up!May 29, 2021 at 6:14 pm #1302966I’m experiencing a similar issue with the fullwidth easy slider along with the easy slider and portfolio grid are all showing up blank.
I purged the cache, disabled all the plugins, and updated the theme to 4.8.3

This slider is the first thing a user is supposed to see on my homepage and it’s embarrassing that it does not work.
If it can’t be fixed easily, please tell me so I can find an alternative solution.May 31, 2021 at 8:14 am #1303105Hi,
Thank you for the inquiry.
We have found a script error in the browser console but we cannot know for sure which script or function is generating it because the scripts are combined and compressed. Please temporarily toggle or disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings and the cache plugin.
This is the script error in the avia-footer-scripts-…-60ab958db3781.js:5.
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '!'
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 31, 2021 at 8:42 am #1303110Hi Ismael,
I did as you said (disable CSS file merging and compression,
disable Javascript file merging and compression and disable “Dynamic Caching” from SG Optimizer) and the slider reappeared! On a closer look, the only setting that has an influence is the “Javascript file merging and compression”. When it’s enabled, the slide does not display and when it’s disabled, the slide works.
The three items are currently disabled (CSS, Javascript and dynamic caching).
What could be going on with the Javascript compression?June 1, 2021 at 6:01 am #1303323Hi stochastique,
We are aware that there is problem when running the SG Optimiser, and having file compression active in the theme. We don’t know exactly what is causing the problem though, but turning off file compression in the theme should solve it. This functionality is not necessary when running the SG Optimiser, since it should be able to compress all the site resources.
Best regards,
Rikard -
