    Pretty simple problem with a hopefully pretty simple solution.

    I’ve implemented an image in a footer widget, which links to a file in my database.
    By default the file opens in the same window, and I can’t quite figure out how to correctly add a ” target=”_blank” to the specific link.

    Is there an easy solution to force this link to be opened in a new tab?

    What widget are you using?
    Also, can you give us a link to the page? maybe we can try to write a small js snippet that should help.

    I am using the regular “Image” Widget.

    Hi padsz,

    I see, a simpler solution would be to add a plugin called Image Widget By The Events Calendar which has the option to open the link in new window.
