I’m having an issue using Elementor’s Menu Anchor widget for a one-page site. I’m using the Elementor widget because I’m hoping to get the sections to line up with the bottom of the header (as opposed to the top of the browser) — we decided in my last support topic https://kriesi.at/support/topic/anchor-links-smooth-scroll-offset-for-sticky-nav-header/#post-1290745 that using Elementor’s Menu Anchors was the way to go for that. But now I’m seeing, with that method, there seem to be a couple of issues with the menu — 1) the current item highlighting seems to be off (I checked for duplicate or missing IDs and couldn’t find any issues); and 2) when scrolling down from the very top, when the menu changes from transparent to translucent, the first two menu items fade in late. You can see these issues on https://westlacommons.wpengine.com/home-kb
Any chance you can help me troubleshoot those issues? Thanks and lmk if you have any questions or need access.
Hey sky19er,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Have you tried adding the no-scroll class attribute to the menu item? This should prevent the smooth scroll function from running when the anchor is clicked.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hmm, that seemed to help a little, sometimes, but the menu still seems fairly “confused” in the ways I described above. But I’m ok for now — the client seems ok with letting the sections anchor at the top of the browser, so I can just use Enfold’s method of anchor linking, which keeps the nav animation and current item highlighting working as they should. Thanks anyway / for now!
Hi,
Should I close this topic?
Best regards,

Sure thing — thanks!
