Hi,
Upgraded WordPress to version 5.7.1 and Enfold theme version 3.0.4 broke. Website displaying critical error. Tried upgrading Enfold to version 4.8.1 and it fails every time. How can I go about resolving this issue? Just need to get site back online even if some of the custom code breaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Notice from WP: WordPress caught an error with your theme, Enfold.
Thanks
At every attempt, I get the message:
“The link you followed has expired. Please try again.”
I got my host to have the site load to a blank page for now instead of the critical error.
Hi awelana,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
I have updated the Enfold theme to the latest version (4.8.1)
The reason for the error is because of the low resources set for the site (you can verify this in Tools > Site Health > Info (tab) > Server ):
Upload max filesize 2M (please set this to 32M)
PHP post max size 8M (please set this to 32M)
As for the white screen, I believe it’s due to low memory allocation:
PHP memory limit 40M (please set this to 128M)
If this does not help with the issue, I believe you can ask for help with your hosting provider (I tried to switch to a default theme, twenty twenty one and disabled all plugins, but white screen isn’t fixed after doing so).
Best regards,
Nikko
