    See below for troubleshooting by Yoast Support. Basically, with specific plugins activated, I am unable to edit webpages. The pages just open to a blank uneditable screen. I updated to the lasted Enfold version (both live and staging). All plugins were updated (including spending $300 apparently for no reason as the issue remains).

    From Yoast Support:

After reviewing your past conversations, we see editing the checkout page causes a semi-blank screen. We know how disappointing it is when something doesn’t work. Let’s look into what might be causing this on your site.

    Semi-blank or white screens most commonly occur when one or more plugins or theme features conflict with another part of your site. Using the Health Check plugin, we temporarily disabled all plugins and switched to a default theme. After enabling WooCommerce, Yoast SEO and Yoast SEO Premium in troubleshooting mode, we were able to edit the checkouts page (image below). After testing various combinations of plugins and theme, we found that the minimum environment required to reproduce the issue is the Enfold theme, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, WooCommerce Bookings and Envira Gallery Lite plugins (image below).

    Using this minimum environment, the issue goes away if we switch to a default theme or deactivate any one of the plugins. Let’s break this down a little more.
    • Fails: Enfold theme, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, WooCommerce Bookings and Envira Gallery Lite
    • Works: Failed environment except replace Enfold with Twenty Twenty theme
    • Works: Failed environment except deactivate WooCommerce
    • Works: Failed environment except deactivate Yoast SEO
    • Works: Failed environment except deactivate WooCommerce Bookings
    • Works: Failed environment except deactivate Envira Gallery Lite
    This tells us that something changes when the above plugins are active with the Enfold theme. We checked the Enfold changelog and see that you are not using the current version of the theme. Enfold 4.5.7 was released on May 10, 2019 and there have been multiple updates to their theme between then and now. The next step would be to update the Enfold theme to the current 4.8.1 version and see if the issue remains when everything is up to date. We’d recommend running the update on your staging site before making any changes on the production site. If you have questions or concerns about updating Enfold, please contact their support team here.

    Please let us know if the issue remains after updating the Enfold theme.”

    Also, Enfold was updated to most current version and issue still persists. Please help.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. Are we allowed to temporarily disable plugins for debugging purposes? If you have a staging version of the site, then it might be a good idea to conduct the debugging on that site instead. Also please verify that you have backups of your site.

    Are you serious? I POSTED A LINK TO THE LOGIN. IT’S AN AUTO-LOGIN – ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CLICK ON THE LINK AND IT WILL GO TO THE WEBSITE. But..just for you, I’ll post the link AGAIN in the private area.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. The problems on your site seems to start when the WooCommerce Bookings plugin is active. I started off by only activating WooCommerce, then moved on to each of the WooCommerce add-ons. The error message in private appeared when the Bookings plugin was active, and it disappears when deactivated. Could you try reaching out to the plugin developers for support, or maybe you could try looking for an alternative to that plugin?

    Please review the very first post where rhe Yaost developers went thru and discovered multiple plugins causing the same issue. That says to me that the problem is more likely to be a theme level issue rather than several plugins experiencing the same error due to fault on their end.

    If it were only the one plugin, i would certainly agree with you, but multiple plugins causing the same issue points to the theme.

    Hi,

    This is not a general problem with the theme, since we can’t reproduce the problem on local or test installations, and we haven’t had any other users report it either. You are the one with this problem.
