    I have been trying to update the PHP version of my website ysblade.com, but the hosting company, Bluehost.com, says the Enfold theme is not compatible with PHP version 7,4

    Is this true? Can you help me?

    Hi @Kfranck,

    I use Enfold with PHP 7.4 on multiple sites without issue. All are on the current version of Enfold

    Hey,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    You are currently using an older version of the theme, 4.6.3.1.
    Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.1.
    Then, please generate a Personal Token by referring to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates :)

    @thewebsmiths
    Thanks a lot for your input! :)

    Yigit:

    Thanks for your response. I received a message from WordPress that says there is an error with the Enfold version 4.6.3.1 (see below). Should I try to fix the error or just update with the 4.8.1 version of Enfold?

    Here is the message from WordPress:
    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

    In this case, WordPress caught an error with your theme, Enfold.

    First, visit your website (https://ysblade.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://ysblade.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=8810&action=edit&message=4) and check for any visible issues.

    Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

    If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://ysblade.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=VOsG6YyrJU0tgb9bVpPtLV&rm_key=EPuo7zGpS9VSLHbmSwdWcj

    To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

    When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.7
    Current theme: Enfold (version 4.6.3.1)
    Current plugin: (version )
    PHP version 5.6.40

    Error Details
    =============
