Hi, we have the sticky sidebar setting set to: “sticky if sidebar is smaller than the screen height, scroll otherwise”, but for some reason (possibly a CSS conflict?) it’s not applying on all pages.

For example, the home page sidebar nav is scrolling regardless of the screen size: http://wordpress-525087-1699266.cloudwaysapps.com/
Same with the about page: http://wordpress-525087-1699266.cloudwaysapps.com/about-us/

While the Our Approach page stays sticky, regardless of the screen size: http://wordpress-525087-1699266.cloudwaysapps.com/our-approach/
Same with Our Team: http://wordpress-525087-1699266.cloudwaysapps.com/our-team/

We would like the sidebar menu to be sticky, unless the sidebar is smaller than the screen size.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hey tomnoffsinger,

The home page has the class av_conditional_sticky and so the css to make it always sticky does not apply. Are you using some plugin to do it? If yes, you need to check the plugin’s settings.

Best regards,
Victoria

Hi Victoria, Thanks for the reply. I don’t believe we have any plugins that would impact that class, nor do we have any css added that impacts that class.

The only active plugins are:

Bot Protection
Breeze (caching, but no settings have been turned on)
Classic editor
Graivty Forms
Smush
Yoast Duplicate Post
Yoast SEO

I can see it’s applied to the header area on the pages where it’s happening
<header id=’header’ class=’all_colors header_color light_bg_color av_header_left av_header_sidebar av_conditional_sticky’ role=”banner” itemscope=”itemscope” itemtype=”https://schema.org/WPHeader” >

But since we are using the side menu, we don’t have any header settings in the theme options.
I also checked the elements on the page to make sure the class isn’t applied in any of the developer settings.

Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks, Tom

Hi Victoria and support team – any additional suggestions with this? The tags are being assigned to the header, but inconsistently throughout the pages. We can’t find anywhere other than the theme settings where this is applied.

Thanks so much. – Tom

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us!

I installed – https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ plugin and set jQuery version to legacy one in plugin settings and that helped.
Enfold is currently not compatible with WP 5.6.x and this plugin fixes compatibility issues. We will release new version of Enfold very soon. After updating to that version, you can go ahead and delete the plugin.

Please review your website :)

Best regards,
Yigit
