Hi,
on my website I embed several YouTube videos with preview image and setting “wait for user interaction to load video”. Now there are issues on mobile:
1. In general the user needs to click on the image twice to actually load the video. Is there a way to change that to only one click?
2. Lately loading videos does not work anymore in chrome at all.
You find an example page with embedded videos in private content. Hope you can help!
February 9, 2021 at 1:05 pm #1279036Hey aph80,
Thank you for the inquiry,
1.) Have you tried muting the video? It may not be playing automatically because the video is not muted. Please note that autoplay is only allowed for muted videos.
2.) Video works fine when we checked the site on Chrome, but we have to click it twice because the video is not muted.
Best regards,

thank you for checking.
1) Muting the video does not change anything. I do not want the video muted anyway. Neither do I want autoplay. I just need to show the thumbnail and then play the video with sound once it is clicked.
2) Did you check on mobile? On my end it only works on desktop. Checking with a Samsung Galaxy S20+.
Thank you and best regards!
February 10, 2021 at 8:18 pm #1279603Hi,
Thank you for the update.
For some reason, the video is now loading immediately after clicking it once, but we only tested it on desktop and mobile emulation. Would you mind providing a screencast of the issue from your mobile phone?
Did you enable lazy loading? You might want to try and disable that option temporarily, see if it helps with issue.
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 17, 2021 at 1:31 pm #1281717Hi Ismael,
sorry for the late update. Here is what I found:
– videos also do not play on my mobile device on other Enfold websites. On other websites not using Enfold they do.
– checked on another android device: there the videos play. So it seems to be a problem on my device.Video loading after one click only is the desired behaviour. On desktop that works. Is there a way to have that only mobile, too? (using “wait for user interaction to load video” to decrease loading time of the page)
Thank you and best regards!
February 19, 2021 at 2:28 pm #1282230Hi,
We can now reproduce it on an Galaxy S9/S9+ emulation, but we do not see any errors. The video does not automatically play after clicking once, so you have to click it again. Is it OK if we access the dashboard and adjust the video settings?
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,

February 23, 2021 at 1:06 pm #1283064Hi,
We cannot figure out why it is not playing on mobile devices. Temporarily, you may need to disable lazy loading and regarding user privacy, you may need to inform the users through the privacy policy page or the modal popup window that the site contains videos, which may require or store cookies.
Best regards,
