Hi
I have added the key and secret key to Enfold > Google Services >
The contact form still shows the submit button instead of the v2 recaptcha.
I took the Enfold recaptcha off a while ago as it wasn’t working and we have been getting a lot of spam since then.
I have tried the suggestions in the support forum without much success…I wonder if these have been superseded as some of the content has been removed.
I have the most up to date version of Enfold.
Can someone explain what I need to do in simple understandable steps….to get this working…I am not a programmer but can follow simple instructions…
Many thanksFebruary 8, 2021 at 5:38 am #1278529Hey tapintoit,
Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

February 9, 2021 at 7:22 am #1278950Hi,
Thanks for that. Could you upgrade the account to have administrator rights as well please? Otherwise we can’t access the theme options.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 9, 2021 at 10:24 am #1278984Apologies, now given you the correct access.
ThanksFebruary 10, 2021 at 4:48 am #1279299Hi,
Thanks for that. I checked the contact form on the problem page, and it seems like there are options missing from it for some reason. Could you share FTP login details as well, so that we can try to upload a fresh copy of the theme for you please? Also please make sure that you have backups of the site, before we upload the fresh version.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 10, 2021 at 11:32 am #1279369I think that should work now – I have backed up the website on SiteGround as suggested.
ThanksFebruary 11, 2021 at 11:06 am #1279705Wondering if you have had a chance to look at things since I provided the FTP access? Don’t want to leave that door open too long…Thanks
February 12, 2021 at 4:38 am #1279890Hi,
Thanks for that. I had a closer look at your child theme, and it looks like you are overriding /shortcodes/contact.php in there. I activated the parent theme, and the contact form options are correct after that. What happens if you remove contact.php from the child theme?
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 12, 2021 at 4:39 pm #1280106Hi Rikard
Thanks for that tip – not sure why that php file was in the shortcodes section?
I have removed it (contact.php) from the Enfold child theme and the reCaptcah is now showing. Yah!
I have tested it and am not sure if the submit button should still appear or not.
I think it is fine but if you don’t mind sending a message via the contact form, that would be really helpful – just to confirm that all is in order now.
Many thanks again and good weekend.
FionaFebruary 15, 2021 at 1:33 pm #1280522Hi Fiona,
Thanks for the update. I tried logging in so that I could have changed the email in the form to my own, in order to check it. The login details you posted earlier are not working now though, so I just sent a regular test using the form. Please let us know if everything works as it should.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 15, 2021 at 1:38 pm #1280524Thanks Rikard – I received the test email – I was more really just asking if the handling was ok – the submit button seemed to become partially invisible when the recaptcha was added… but all working otherwise. many thanks for your help.
